Dan I use Metabo 9" grinders all day to grind concrete slabs for VCT and epoxy floors. They are a quality tool and take a beating. I used one with a bent arbor for months before it finally burnt out.
Dan anything German I would buy. Because, of their high quality engineering. I also like that it is metal. I like that it is build of high quality steel. I would agree a AC adapter would be nice. Paul really likes metabo. Great video Tia!!!!!
Home Depot used to carry Hilti, but they were kicked out about 5 years ago. I like Metabo products, but they are hard to get besides specialty stores like welding supply stores they just sell the grinders though, and some online retailers. The other thing is the price you really do pay for the quality the only price I found for this fan was on Grainger which is over priced but they wanted $255 for the fan as a bare tool ouch. If I could get a good deal on a Metabo kit and was able to add the few bare tools I needed it wouldn't be so bad. The big thing is Metabo needs a bigger retailer if they want to do anywhere with their brand. They tried a few years ago a push with their cordless lineup and it fell flat. I felt bad there was a guy that wanted the Metabo radio and couldn't find one at it was discontinued and sold out! Just sucks for someone like that.
great video....really nice to see you guys reviewing Metabo again, I'd love to get my hands on some of their tools, they seem solid and well made, they are popular in the UK...I wonder if any of their stuff is available in Canada....time to go look! thanks guys!
Agreed. Would be nice if it had a plug in. The run time isn't bad though. And it seems like it move a lot of air. I have a similar fan that I got from Menards. Looks exactly the same except no battery. Absolutely love the thing. Great fan. Moves a lot of air. Well built.
Really a shame that doesn't have an A/C adapter, seems like a nice fan...and I'm sure someone is going to rig an 18V power supply to clip onto the leads, which is what I'd do, which would be dangerous. They could easily retro-fit a power supply that clips into the battery slot. If I had a bad 18v Metabo battery I would make my own in a heart beat.
+AssociatedTechnology Depends on the individual. Different trades like diff things, metal workers love Metabo and woodworkers love Bosch. The quality is about the same.
Great brand here and the pros love there grinders, one thing I'm not sure why they did no do it unless it's like the radios, why won't these fans charge batteries....seems like multi use tools even if it's a charger would be a big selling insensitive. I mean hell your going to have a fan & charger on the site any how just breed them
with 7 hours of runtime who needs an AC cord?! I don't think it needs one at all. I would never plug that beast in that's the beauty of cordless. I dream of the day that I can have a 100% cordless job site with no compromises this is a statement I never expected to say in my entire life but "damn that is a sexy fan!" hahaha
Nice to see you guys on the green! the 6.2AH battery is a beast!!
+Our Build We love it James
Wow that is old school. We have a few of those old metal fans and they're still going after close to 30 years. lol.
+Love2boat92 Metabo quality!

The "m" not being capitalized is messing with my OCD! And I hadn't heard of them until I found your channel a little whilr back.
+Brendan Hollingsworth We be not know grammar lol
As a pipe fitter metabo makes a hell of a grinder
+chevymudding01 Thanks Chevy, welcome to the crew!
7 hours of run time is pretty impressive for a fan of that size. The option of being able to power it with AC would've been a nice feature.
Nice to see you guys review Metabo Tools. Like you said, Quality tools, but hard to find. Thanks for sharing.
+Sam K yw

+DarkRaptor99 Don't go to Grainger is the solution. $149 on CPO Metabo.
That is a serious fan. Not the Micky Mouse cordless fans other guys put out.
that would also be good for a power outage in the summer, looks durable except for were you put the batt in, but great review!
+Justin Kleeberger Very true
Does it work with 18V and/or 36V HPT batteries?

Wheee, Metabo is back :D love it
+Steven Valk Just wait! tons coming
Really strange....is it for when working in mine pits or the desert? Nice looking unit but the batteries last how long? 7 hours????

+CranberryJam Great idea
Now that looks like a cool fan to get. Nice if it had a remote too. Nice tool though
That's a nice fan. Looks better than the plastic ones , but I'm more like in the Volkswagen of tools range :(
Already 4 years have passed and Metabo didn't improved this cordless fan with a 18V charger or a remote control module! What a shame!!!

Hi guys :)
Isnt metabo better than bosch?
+AssociatedTechnology Depends on the individual. Different trades like diff things, metal workers love Metabo and woodworkers love Bosch. The quality is about the same.
