  • I rescued this vintage Ghielmetti timeswitch from the dust, abandoned in a switch room and replaced with some digital junk a long time ago.

If she's letting him drain your bank account, then I REALLY hope she's "draining" something of "his", so it ends up being "empty". 🤔
I'm really struggling to think of something that a woman can do to a man, once she's "emptied" his "bank" 🤔 🤷🏻‍♂️

Kind of like the Sangamo WSH-12 I have - the same size and shape as a metal-base meter. While it is normally driven by a synchronous motor, it also has an AC-wound clock in it to ride through outages. It even has a couple of the 'day skip' pins stored in the 'spare' position - the on / off trip levers are permanently attached to the dial and can be moved (but the cover has to come off for that - the screw plug on the front only lets you stick a screwdriver in to set the current time).

Nice old timeswitch quality Swiss engineering. Only trouble is it's such a noisy beast

I've never seen a mechanical electric timer before, but it's cool

I have seen many, but they all had small synchronous motors, and were silent.
