reminds me of a summer long ago. feels like it happened only yesterday. the summer of yesterday, it's a point where I will always compare myself to. how much I've changed and how much I haven't. so long sweet summer.
so many memories!!
I recently discovered Dashboard Confessional a couple of months ago. I'm so glad I did. They're amazing. This song is so beautiful.
Jolie Lindholm (Rocking Horse Winner/Popvert), the backing vocal in this song have a beautiful voice..
Always was my favorite and most emotional part of the song. Especially the way she sings the word "slumber" at the end of the last chorus, before the Lexington part. It's just magical.
Fell into you, now you’re gracefully falling away...
To be on that river bank again
this takes me back to junior year of high school when I had scars and cuts all over my arms and I wanted to die.. this song was just a peaceful one that reminded me that I could always look forward to Summer... because maybe life would be different
large bakedbean glad you made it through :). I work at a middle school, and i always remind my students there is a whole new world after school... you just have to persevere.
This song reminds me of summer flings. Ghosting. ~
The winters in Lexington do suck.

Good lord.. song is the epiphany of my late teens on 2003. Fell in love with a beautiful girl in HS, broke up with me after I graduated from basic training in the army in the summer of June. she met someone and later married. Meanwhile I spent those times figuring what to do in life. 15 years later, she’s divorced, no kids and we got together near our hometown. Walked around the places where we used to walk back in our youth. From beaches to the theatre where we had our first kiss. Now, We didn’t fall in love nor get back to where we left off as we were different people now but it felt good to hear the stories of what’s she’s done all these years and vice versa. It still feels good to know that “one last sweet summer” We had. Now I’m In my early 30s and I’m writing this emo shit just for this comment but what a great upload and nothing can replace these songs and what they meant us during those times.
That was a beautiful memory and I wanna thank you for sharing that
