Chenbi had a son, no husband and 3 brothers. She wanted her brothers and family executed. She also complain about the danger of being beautiful. I think I understand what happened here and I understand why she did it.

She was one of the tantric sex slave. Her scenes was cut a lot due to the sensitive religious topic. According to the original set makeup photos, she was from Tibet.
She implied that she was a “gift” that was passed around like an object and used by people to gain favors, but no one loved her enough to stand up for her and marry her or offered her protection. Her own brother Aibida shamelessly kidnapped her son to force her into the imperial harem for his own selfish gain. She was impressed and maybe slightly envious that two men loved and protected Yingluo. She had never had that type of loyalty or safety, because of her beauty she was always being used and never had control of her own life. Even though she was wrong, I don’t really blame her for trying to get revenge however way she can.Yingluo felt sorry for her and advised her to keep acting crazy so they can treat her like a disabled person who couldn’t differentiate between right or wrong. Otherwise they would kill her for the assassination attempt.This same ploy will be used later at the end as well. This was one of my favorite scenes, I didn’t think, Chenbi would have this much depth.
Okay I really hated how they wrote yingluo in this scene. She honestly became more of an asshole towards the end.

Girl even disregarding the revelation about her son dying, did you miss the part where she said they drugged her with alcohol and then used her son to threaten her into complying? Like wtf.
And like I love mingyu and wished she hadn't died, but this was not like with erqing and the empress where she did push her to suicide, like chenbi was a bitch and was cold hearted in how she handled the situation, but mingyu did not have long to live and would in reality die a painful death soon due to the needles anyway and she herself knew this, she just chose to spare hailancha's pain and suffering bc she loved him. There wasn't really any manipulation, chenbi just callously told her like it was.
There was no conspiracy to her death, it was caused by consort chun. I hate how the show made chenbi into this big bad when she didn't even do anything really. It's almost anticlimactic
True but like Yingluo suffered so much too so I can get where she's coming from. She and her baby almost died, she almost didn't make it. It also didn't help the fact that Chenbi pursued Mingyu to commit suicide and Chenbi betraying her regardless of what she've done to save her in the first place. It was a huge risk too for her lying to Empress Dowager after that when clearly Empress D had trusted her hence she was really angry at Yingluo when the truth was revealed and almost killed her if it wasn't for her fetus.
You're being selfish considering only the feelings from chenbi but ignoring everything what Yinglou passed through.She suffered a lot and was close to lose her baby too.Look to both sides.
