god i fucking love this band.. Anyone who has ever seen them live knows what im talkin about. Watching them evolve from their punk rock days to some sort of weird as hybrid folk punk rock n roll band they are today has been such a trip. Thank you guys for over a decade of good entertainment.
I love Against Me! Don't judge this band because of Laura's decisions, listen to the songs, listen to the message she sings about in every song from every album. This is the truest essence of punk. Against Me! is one of the most underrated bands of our time and it's a shame that more people don't know who they are.
PARLANTASTRE disfrutastre I’m assuming they are just speaking on the choice to transition in general. There are plenty of people who wouldn’t listen to the music just because Tom/Laura is Trans. It’s a shame but it’s a reality. I love against me! Laura added me on Facebook recently and I’ve been fangirling ever since

To say "I always knew" would be cliché and false. I always suspected. But, without her music, I would never have found the courage to ask myself those difficult questions once I finally started to understand what was going on with me. I stopped trying to drink myself to death in the hopes I'd push it away, and finally faced up to who I was supposed to be.

Honestly, I think Franz would be a great fit for Against Me. He plays literally every instrument, so maybe he could add something to their live shows to make em even better. Everyone loves Franz anyway, so I'm sure he would be accepted quickly.

Look up Franz Nicolay's solo productions. I listened to one album and I had to buy everything he's ever made. He's absolutely brilliant. Plus, who doesn't appreciate a record with an accordion AND a banjo?
@SnaphappyMcfishsuit i disagree, i personally prefer his punk themed music, but he does a good job of balancing the 2 genres to create his own unique sound. His earlier albums such as reinventing axl rose, and as the original cowboy were prime examples of that. I respect the band for their new music, and im not going to trash them for evolving, but personally i prefer their older music, it has more emotion in it, and i can relate to it.

He did tour with them for about a year for the white crosses album. I'm not sure why he didnt stay with them.

Wow this is miles better than the album version!! I thought Heart Burns was pretty solid, and this has that same sound!
