As one of only 10 clubs to have competed in the inaugural season of Major League Soccer back in 1996, the New England Revolution have had a storied history.
After several difficult years early in their formation, the Revs finally began to experience some success, becoming regular fixtures in the playoffs and making three consecutive MLS Cup finals.
However, it seemed that New England were destined forever to be the bridesmaid and never the bride, making the MLS Cup Final on five separate occasions but never managing to come away with the trophy.
And though the Revolution broke the regular season points record back in 2021, they’ve been a team mired in mediocrity for the better part of two decades.
But whilst last season was arguably the most embarrassing in the club’s history, with the 1st overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft, some high quality head coaching candidates on the market, and the transfer window set to open, opportunity lies just around the corner, and the pieces could soon be in place for a revolution here in New England.
Consider signing Harry Souttar. The 24 yr old CB is a Scottish born Australian international (mum born in Australia) who currently plays at Leicester city. He was signed last season for $20 Million making him the most expensive Aussie signing of all time. Though he has struggled for game time and only played 16 games in 2 seasons for Leicester. Maresca said Souttar was free to leave and the reason for minimal game time was due to better performing teammates. Allegedly a Leeds transfer deal fell through along with an LA Galaxy Loan deal. His market value is around 2-4 million and he would be a very realistic transfer for the career mode rebuild.

@@LAMBZYSPORTS Another thing you can do is maybe use one or two of your youth scouts to find 2 or 3 players in each position for your youth academy to kind of replicate New England II in MLS Next Pro (which is basically the same as Premier League 2 with all the second teams)
Are young players on the senior or supplemental roster eligible to play in those games? For example Bajraktarevic and this year’s rookies?
I’ll probably need all 3 scouts for the next crop of draft prospects but I could maybe spare one if I can flesh the Next Pro team out with some players we already have.
@@LAMBZYSPORTS Yes. Usually players who are drafted will spend their first season with the second team unless they are one of the top picks in the draft.
Young players who don't get much game time with the first team will play most games with the second team.
Sometimes even, you'll see a more senior player playing with the second team if they are recovering from injury.
This is why there aren't very many loan moves in MLS. But since there isn't really a way to put players from the first team in the second team, as well as the fact that the USL Championship (the second division in the US) isn't in the game. I recommend just keeping the younger players who you'd normally loan in the reserves and giving them the right training plan to keep them fresh.
(USL and MLS Next Pro are completely different leagues. Just so there is no confusion. The USL is like the EFL with a Championship, League One and League Two.)👍👍

When New England sold their star goalkeeper Petrovic to Chelsea, they began their competitive downfall. I think it would be a great storyline to have Tyler Dean as the future star player in goals, and then when a top 6 premier league club comes calling for him, sell him.

Your pronunciation of Giacomo was perfect, he's Italian-Albanian and played in Juventus's youth system in the past, so it's a very Italian name. If an 'i' or 'e' come after a 'g' in Italian, it's a soft 'g' instead of a hard one. Giacomo Bonaventura of Fiorentina has been nicknamed Jack because Giac and Jack have virtually the same pronunciation. I knew a full year of learning Italian would pay off 😁🇮🇹
With Chancalay, just remember the Spanish 'a' is pronounced like "ah" so his last name is said like Chahn-cah-lai (the ending rhyming with Kai like Kai Havertz)
The Revolution upload all goals they score in real life onto their socials (Noel Buck scored a screamer on Saturday) and I believe full highlights on UA-cam, and MLS commentary is usually solid on names.
If you want to please the fans, then you may want to look at letting Giac Vrioni leave. Fans are baffled at how such a mediocre player is taking a DP slot, especially compared to Gil, Chancalay, and other DPs in the league. IRL he hasn't been good; you can give him a shot on FC 24, but if he only has 5-7 goals all season, replacement may be a decision to make.

Good to know re: Vrioni. We’ll see how he goes this season but it looks like he might have 5-7 goals by the end of Episode 3 👀 Obviously a splashy new DP would be fun for the series though so we might move on anyway 😂😂
let's gooo! excited to see the 4-2-4 in action throughout the season, I love non-meta formations and gameplay. reminded me a bit of EtH's Manchester United, fast transitions but that scary hole in front of the defence - might be worth moving the line up to narrow your shape and press them more since you have those speedy CBs?
That’s definitely what I have in mind. I tried to find a Ralf Rangnick disciple to take over but couldn’t really find an ideal option. I’ve made a few tweaks to the system for Episode 2 and it’s definitely playing better now.
Plz make it as realistic as possible it should take like 4 season's to rebuild the club

Possibly consider signing American striker Josh Sargent, he’s quality for MLS, and fills in that need
As a Norwich boy, I would love to! He’s way out of our league though if we’re keeping things realistic. He’s probably worth $15m. We’d also have to get rid of a Designated Player first.

I appreciate the feedback and the sub but I’ll always play 10 minute halves. Longer halves are necessary for realistic gameplay and that’s the focus of the channel. Plus that’s just how I enjoy playing :)

@vituz6121 I always used Broadcast on last gen and adjusted the settings. I don’t have FC 24 on last gen though so I’m not sure if the sliders will work the same. The camera won’t make any difference to the gameplay though.
