Hell yeah thanks bro. My car experienced the same problem with one of the brackets holding the window breaking. The regulator you ordered comes with new ones?
Yes you can. Anything that is a nut or bolt you can slap a ratchet and socket it on if you have the space if you don't then use a wrench. I prefer not use a ratchet if I don't need the extra leverage. Typically on small nuts/bolts I will just use the socket and extension to tighten it up then put the ratchet on for an extra half to full turn whatever is necessary to make sure it is tight enough.
I'm just using a proper socket size with an extension to give me more space for my hands. If I don't need a ratchet or I have already loosened a nut I will usually set the ratchet aside and just use the socket and extension.
Probably a dumb question but I get confused, cause I'm not a car guy. When they say requlator, you get a new motor, well technically it's just your paying for the motor? Also, has your sister get issues with the windows often? Cause it's about ever year now where one of them goes bad, been like $500 repair every time.
The regulator is referring to the entire assembly, on the regulator is a small electric motor that lowers and raises the window. The motor if I remember correctly was fine, but parts of the regulator broke and since you can't buy them separately you are forced to replace the entire regulator as one unit. I she has already had to replace the driver side window regulator. Apparently this part suffers from a design flaw that makes it prone to failure. I don't believe she has had issues with the back seat doors yet and I'm not sure if they use the same design and part since its not my car.
Yeah I'm glad this is not my car, this will clearly be an issue in the future. Major design flaw in my opinion. To much crappy plastic used in modern vehicles.
Thank you. This is just what I needed.

It might depend on your car model, but this one came with the brackets
To takeoff the speaker and the last eight bolts or screws around the panel after your dad was holding the window. Can you use a ratchet socket set?

I paid a garage to do this and it broke again 2 years later( no abuse). Plastic sucks.

Can you do mine? 😁
