I see this in a lot of top players all the time (Dog, Jeff, Babbit, Shady..). They are so used to minmax gold that they keep doing it when it doesnt matter. You can see it constantly in Beatboxer videos, when the streamer has 50 gold and they keep buying +1 gold cards, only to missplay at the end of the turn because they dont have enough time to play properly.
@@rever6612 the one that gets me is when they have 50 gold and need a very specific card, like a Leroy or something. instead of just rolling down the 60 seconds they have they buy more eco cards and only get 25 rolls in. just keep rolling!

Unasked for advice is almost always taken as criticism, it's human nature. It doesn't mean the advice is necessarily wrong or unwarranted, but one off statements are far more often than not going to be met with a reactionary tone because humans are reactionary and don't have any depth or context other than someone is telling them what to do or disagreeing with them. People who don't get this will repeatedly get their feelings hurt. I guarantee Shady's reaction would be different analyzing the game after the fact vs in game live critiques when there is a live timer. I don't get it, I tried exactly this earlier today and it animated like it should get stats but it didn't get anything so I just sold it the next turn. Did mine just glitch or something?
Nah I think "if you have something to say, make it count" is perfectly fine to expect from other people. I get that a lot of people don't think that way, but they really need to start.
Hard disagree, talking and socializing with friends and strangers is 99% dialogue that doesnt matter and that you wont remember, if everything ever said was only something that “counted” the world would be a cold boring place with barely any creativity. Most of human flourishingcame about because people thought of crazy wacky and insane ideas or stories and 99% of it failed. It is through that random and thoughtless ether that the profound is created.
@@tristanm8838 I don't think these stances are contradictory. I make small talk with my friends all the time and we shoot the shit, that doesn't mean it doesn't count. Conversely, just because an idea turns out bad or gets rejected doesn't mean it doesn't count. If YOU believe it counts, then to an extent it always will. What I'm saying is I don't think people should be spewing stuff they know doesn't count in a setting meant for certain stances to be bounced back and forth. I'm not saying a streamer in a BGs game interacting with chat is necessarily that setting, but I think the point of "don't make suggestions just for the sake of making suggestions without having any substance behind your suggestion" is completely fair and reasonable.
@@cruxofthesubject1402 you and i both know that “small talk” and “shooting the shit” don’t count unless you are diluting the definitions to the point of absurdity, when people say something counts, in common parlance, it means that the content of the conversation matters and will be remembered. Secondly, you have zero clue as to the motivations behind those suggestions, this is something that shady has pointed out multiple times. The final point i will make, is that people will often spew stuff they know doesn’t count in important settings all the time, its called being a politician, even though the politicians know what they say is nonsense, its important that they say that nonsense because everyday people feel fear if they knew what really happens behind the scenes.
shady when he willingly chooses to play apm and is not capable of redirecting his frustration "its in the past now" "be sarcastic about chat comment" "what do you want me to do"

I wouldn't say he was rude, he explained beforehand that he knows it's coming from a good place and he never personally insulted them. All he did was say that it helps his thought process to take the most efficient line he can
I agree he comes off too defensive and a little petty. He should work on not being as emotionally detached to his work / the feedback of others. I mainly watch Shady because (most of the time) he has a very relaxed attitude and has a nice way of talking through his plays that helps me understand the game and decision making better. But at the end of the day it's just a game that he happens to be particularly good at. No reason to tilt or be snarky at the casual Joe (who might even be right in this particular scenario), it's the perfect opportunity for a discussion on priorities and decisionmaking i.m.o.
I know this is random, but I think they need to change the tier 5 mask spell (change hero power) to a "Choose: Change your Hero power or your hero portrait" or at least something of the like. It may seem silly but really, do we really need to get hand locked with that spell should it wind up in one's hand. What if I don't want to change my hero power yet I keep getting this spell generated into my hand randomly anyways.

I remember doing this with the demon discover minion instead on a demon board, worked well
