The woman Liam Neeson’s character meets at the end is played by supermodel Claudia Schiffer, who was referenced earlier in the film 😊
Emma Thompson as the wife who is cheated on kills me every time. I cry along with her. The way she cries to herself, then keeps it together for her kids? That's a great mother. ❤️
Worse that he jokes the CD is to continue her emotional education. I think he more than fueled her emotions.
Her feelings were real. She was divorced few years earlier from Kenneth Branagh who had affair with Helena Bonham Carter.
Rowan Atkinson plays an angel. In original script it was made more clear.
Fun reaction. Liam Neeson's story in this kills me. I lost my mom when I was 9, so I relate to the kid and think about what my father went through, through Liam. The level of acting in this movie is through the roof!

Martin Freeman and his lady weren't porn actors. They were lighting stand-ins. It may have been a porn, but more likely that it was just a regular movie with an adult love scene. They need to get the lighting right before the actual actors step in.

One of my absolute favorite Christmas movies. It's the first one I watch the day after Thanksgiving and one more time on Christmas Eve while I'm wrapping presents.

Additional info, Martine McCutcheon who plays Natalie was my celebrity crush (still is lol) in the late 90's when i was in my late teens and she was in one of our soaps .
I love this movie. I'm not into many Christmas/Holiday movies, but this one I absolutely love because of the stories, intertwined or not, and the multitude of amazing actors in it.
Yes, Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Sam) was in Game of Thrones as "Jojen Reed". Also, Him and Hugh Grant are second cousins, a fact only Thomas knew, but told Hugh while they were filming this movie. Hugh then remembered something about an aunt and uncle. I guess how they got to be second cousins is a bit convoluted.
Not usually a fan of romcoms, but ♥ this! Such a great cast! Richard Curtis writes most of few ones I actually like
Bill Nighy steals every scene he's in! That Keira card scene has been referenced/parodied so many times!
Hard to believe that Thomas Brodie Sangster, who played Liam Neesons son, is only 5 years younger than Keira Knightly.

6:25 not porn. I think they are there to help prepare everything for the real scene to be shot later (like positions, sound, light and shadows).
Great reaction to my second favourite Christmas movie (after Die Hard). A few years ago for Comic Relief some of the actors got together to do a short sequel so you could catch up on them several years later if you want to check it out, it only runs for about 15 minutes.
Interesting fact, Kris Marshall who played Colin, the guy who went to America to meet girls, refused his wages for the scene where he was undressed by three American girls. He said after 21 takes of that happening he was more than happy to do that scene for free lol.
There’s a 15 min sequel done for charity set about 15 years later. Worth reacting to.

I would like to suggest another film by Richard Curtis: About Time. There is plenty of humor and some very heartfelt scenes.

You might want to try some other flicks by the same screenwriter (if you haven't already, even if just on your own time), like Four Weddings & A Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jone's Diary... :)

Would have been even better if Keira had turned into a zombie and attacked Andrew Lincoln right there.
But goddamn, you can't blame him for only taking footage of her. It was the only chance he had to just stare at her.

There are no different kinds of love. There is one love. It's sad that you didn't see the love that Laura Linney was portraying. Love is not something outside yourself, it's something that you are. Laura did live a life of her choosing. She loves her brother, her family. And regardless of what kind of family one has, family is family. That's the hard path, these days, is to stick with family, because people are quite confused about love. It's more important to show her brother connection, then it was to connect with a man, but it becomes hard when a man becomes interesting. She showed sacrifice.. while giving her own heart a peek. That's all he deserved anyway, because when you're truly interested in a woman, you'll take everything she's got going on.. you'll take that on, too. Love can walk through fire.
We need more of these people on the planet.. because instead we get mostly the Alan Rickman character... the one who gives in to temptation. It's gone beyond that, to men feeling entitled to cheat... there's a sitting king on a throne that got away with cheating, and made his mistress the queen consort, which btw did you know that he wasn't *allowed* to marry ANYONE if the Mother to the Heir is alive. Anyways. xo Great react!
