Thanks for this review. I have the ESV Student Study Bible, and it has the same maps and illustrations, but not the photos, articles, and replicas. I notice that the notes, font, etc. are the same as in this bible. I'm glad you reviewed this so I don't have to go out and buy it so I can look at it.
This is the most visually pleasing Bible I’ve seen. Only improvement I’d make is red letter. The level of archeological background is stunning. I’m of the “study from various translations to understand the full scope of the Word” school, so adding the ESV Archeology Bible to my study Bible collection was a great step. Thanks for the good review.
Excellent review once again sir.As much as I am also an ESV advocate, for me a Bible like this should not be so much about the archaeology side of things.I understand how archaeology can be useful, especially as a tool for apologetics, but personally I want more cultural background information as opposed to only or mainly archaeology. If this Bible contains that, then it would be an easy choice. If it is all too much archaeology and little to no cultural background info, it would be disappointing. The ideal situation would be if these 2 things are presented in a balanced way. Therefore between archaeology and cultural background, can you please tell me what I will be getting more of if I were to buy this Bible. Thanks in advance.
I have this bible for my Biblical background class. It is an excellent resource. It goes along well with the ESV Atlas. The Bible is an adaptation of the ESV Atlas
I have so many ESV versions: Digital- Olive Tree...ESV, ESV Strong’s #’s, ESV Study Bible, ESV Atlas + Henry’s Whole Bible Commentary Physical: all of the above PLUS (my fave all time) Leather ESV Journaling Bible, Moody’s Atlas of the Bible...+ MacArthur Whole Bible Commentary Plus I have a good old Ryrie NASB Study Bible. So man, I just get overwhelmed & feel like I’ve got so much - but...think I need/want this! My brother in law showed me his. The study notes are so different 👍
This bible looks fun😊 I can tell you really like this one brother, and im the same way I love biblical archeology. I love the Gates Of Zion and Daughter Of Zion book series on WW2 and the 7 day war Fictional stories built on Factual events are so cool,.Esp when we know the Bible said these things would come to pass.
Good review. I bought it and have only begun to excavate this Study bible. I appreciate all that is in it. It doesn't replace my personal bible for reading scripture..and it's not Made for that purpose but could be. Thankful to have this Bible is putting It mildly. Jesus is Lord and let His word be magnified.
Does this Archaeology Bible include dates throughout the actual books (eg so throughout Genesis, Exodus, etc you get dates of approximately when these things happened)? I've got something called a Crossway ESV Study Bible done in fake leather and it's not bad but I wanted more historical information, more maps and a lot more dates and information about the original Bible manuscripts (not interpretative religious stuff) so is this Archaeology Bible the best one?
I really liked this video! Very informative. Quick question: @5:04...What exactly is "Pop Culture Archaeology"? Can you give us a few examples of that? thank you. 🤗
Hi Sylivia. Sorry for taking so long to get back with you. They don't exactly say what they meant by that (it's in the description for the notes), but I think they're referring to the kind of archaeology we would see in entertainment like what's described in this article: anthropology.msu.edu/anp264-ss13/2013/02/28/the-pop-culture-effect/
I guess it means Ron Wyatt's discoveries which were not accepted by the most archeologists, or so kinda discoveries which don't have strong basis to support.
Hello, I'm curious... out of all the archeology/history study Bibles you've shown, do you have a favorite for some reason? I would like to get one of these, but can't decide.
No red letter - strike one Paragraph style - strike two Pig skin - strike three. Archeology can be found in another book or a Thompson Chain Reference Bible. I have the "ESV" Study Bible and the same issues except the pig skin.
Thanks for the review! I’m getting the ESV Archaeology Bible as an Easter gift. Can’t wait to be able to use it!

All the protestant books are included.

I don't really have a favorite, but this ESV is a solid choice.
Csb thumbs ☝
What do the pages feel like?
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is there theological articles in the bible
Hi Keri. It doesn't include them.
No red letter - strike one

Pig skin - strike three.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - all of God's word is equal. 'Red letter'/treating some passages as different is unbiblical
Amen that's true.
You also made that exact same comment on a different review of this bible. This one is hard cover and not any type of leather.
Kjv only period.
What nonsense.
@@Yesica1993 Agreed
erickus36 kjv & other versions :-)
Why KJ only? MikeinMinnesota
