So blessed to get my CD signed by the Wailing Souls. Even got to smoke a spliff with Don Carlos at a concert. Also have a Don Carlos CD signed by him. Really some of the best concerts I ever been to to.

Born in '93, grew up in the Bay Area. I know that if I had been exposed to Reggae (besides Bob) much earlier, I would've grown up to be a very different person. Now that I've been listening, I feel grounded in a way I never was. It's nice to learn about the history of these artists, so thank you for this channel 🌞

Songs like those on cool runnings drew a lot of outside people into reggae. I'm sure that roots fans didn't like inner circle's bad to the bone, or reggae dancer, but they brought this Canadian into the world of reggae, and now because of it, I know firehouse rock and Kingston 14, and inner circle's reggae thing, and all of Jacob Miller before them. But I wouldn't have pursued the history of the genre without being introduced to it with crossover tracks first.

The more I watch these stories of these legendary groups, the more I realize that there are multiple stories, and it may be difficult to know the entire truth…as several members may have their own versions. Still, glad to have decades of great music.

Blessed love to the 1. Bread , Pipe n Garthie are idrens whom I have known fram I was a very young boy. Bread n myself would become very good idrens as we used to be supportive of each other while I was lead singer of the group that I had formed with
Norris Weir ( the Jamaicans). Yes wat u said about Pipe sounding like Bob is so true as a matta of fact nuff 1s n 1s used to seh Wailin Souls sounded like Wailers. A very original n unique roots reggae group who I can truthfully say have given I nuff nuff memorable moments wid their
Music n songs for many years. JAH BLESS guide n protect mi idrens. RICKY STORM aka IKong

Row fisherman Row was my introduction to the Wailing Souls in the early 80s...A Hip and innovative sound different from previous Roots music I'd listened to.... Actually the Souls kick-started their Deep Roots crusade from the fantastic Wild Suspense album which for me was a radical departure from the rather monotonous style of the previous era.
