For this travel challenge we pop our van to one side and our paddle boards away. Instead, we charge up our ebikes, pump up the tyres and pack a pannier full of camping gear. We spend 8 days cycling and camping over 250 miles around Northumberland. We knew it was going to be tough, but we didn't expect this!

We finally got round to watching this last night - It was brilliant. So entertaining! Aghh thank you guys 🥰 I was basically head to toe covered in gear, thankfully it was electric. Shoe… I had already sorted new hiking boots so I think they were pissed at me 😂

What do u use to charge ur ebikes?
We charge at campsites but had to buy a hook up, this is it: amzn.to/3rZUHrv 😊
I think with the bikes, it is only legal to use 250w power on the road and you have to pedal. However, as long as you are using a mode thG is road legal, you should be fine. It certainly doesnt sound like you were using the higher powered modes.
My ebike has a throttle qhich is not road legal, but it is not activated normally, but can be used offroad.
Great vlog once more, your first trip will be the hardest as you find out what works for you and what does not. I hope the bike thing is not a one off!
Oh, and the bloke should always take the leaky airbed, we dont have all those inny outy bits (ref Red Dwarf) to make sleeping on the floor so uncomfortable.
Yeee haha, push bikes were going past us and with all the weight on it not sure they’d go mush faster anyway 😂.
The bikes were so much fun, haven’t charged them since we’ve been back though as we are still recovering from the adventure 😁

Your bikes are not road legal e-bikes in Britain so how are you doing this?
We kept the settings in a road legal mode 😊
Check your insurance carefully as there is no such thing as "road legal mode". The motor needs to be 250w or less,
The DfT even advised that "bikes sold in a power-restricting set-up, but the maximum motor power of which exceeded 250W or the powered maximum speed exceeded 15.5mph in another mode of use, were not compliant EAPCs and would therefore be treated as motor vehicles."
