I am not joking. This was the first song who made me cry. Looks like the singer is so upset, almost crying, with a depressed voice, and this song seems to talk with my ears, my soul, my conscience, everything. I'm a 16 years old boy and this song is helping me so much.

The words are deep, and the more you think about it, the more your soul can connect and peel away the illusion of just being who you truly are to who you truly are without strings of the world stitched into your mind. It's nice knowing songs like these can help people see things and show them reality instead of society. 💜
Two days before Christmas my dad kicked me out for crying because he felt it ruined his night. He poured water on my head and my step mom kept screaming at me. I kept thinking of this song. I’m at my moms now. And for once I feel loved. My friend came over to hug me and make cookies with me. I for once feel like it’s going to be okay.

I met boyfriend only 5 months ago but we connected immediately and knew we were meant to be together.....we both have been hurt, abused and alone for being years....angry, depressed and full of anxiety we work through it and have come so far already.....I am proud of us both this song reminds us we can heal and not be a monster on the outside but deal with the "monsters" within....thank you Missio for this song it is such a blessing to our lives and many others as I read the other comments on this board.

I'm usually pretty stoic and emotionally out-of-reach. Even some of the most provoking songs generally don't phase me the way they do others.
That being said, I find it both amusing and shocking that this song, no matter when I hear it, ALWAYS manages to make me cry. I DON'T cry over songs. I don't. This is an exception, apparently. Those lyrics hit me hard.

This song is a very good reminder. It's hard sometimes when whatever monster we have tries to convince us that we're the monster. Though most the time I don't care enough to dispute it. I feel less than human and like I'm living next to reality most of the time. Like I'm an unexpected dinner guest and everyone acts like I was always meant to be there out of common curtesy
