Yes, it is played everywhere! I was interested and just did some research :-) The Song has sold approximately 12 million copies over the decades since it was released. But it only reached No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1979.
Hopefully it wont be long before all these beautiful people can enjoy this again

I live in Edmonton, Alberta and saw ABBA 41 years ago, September 13th 1979 in Edmonton, on what they called "The Tour", it was an amazing concert complete with Swedish mountain background! My now 28 year old daughter is totally blown away that I saw them live. Cheers and good luck on attending and if this unfortunate world situation does improve, it is now in my bucket list, so who knows, and thanks for the information!

If you like this version of that song search for YMCA Gimnazija Kranj. That is in my opinion an even better version on YT
I had seen this before too, however I like the version by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra better. The Gimnazija Kranj Sypmhony Orchestra and Chorus version. does not have the same power and depth - in my opinion. But thanks for pointing it out @Akadectra

It was the great pianist and entertainer Liberaci who stated that Popular Music is Classical Music with the boring bits taken out. YMCA is such a piece. In this sensational orchestral arrangement it is a Classic..
