The MOLE is such a cool ship. I think the point of the mining UI for the pilot is to use it for scanning rocks for their mass and composition and such, not to do actual mining.
Thank you for all the testing that you and you org mates have done for us. It's good to see a good chunk of the bugs fixed, but at the same time there still a few that did not actually get fixed.
Thanks for your tests :). For the starlancer max : What you've tested is already working this way in 4.0. The problem is the external button (the one you push when you call the elevator from outdoor) that cannot send elevator up when you're out. the workeround is to send it to lower while in it and go out fast before doors are closed.
Slaving the laser of the mole wouldn’t make the prospector useless any more than the guardian’s existence makes a 325a useless. The Prospector is the STARTER mining ship. Solo players should have an upgrade path too.
@ I said it’s the starter MINING ship, not a starter ship. Different meanings. “Starter ships” are cheap and give you a taste of multiple game loops while being great at none of them. Each of the starter ships has its own leanings (like cutter is more industrial while aurora and mustang are more combat) but they do multiple things. Once you’re talking specializations though your entry point is different. Mining = Prospector, Salvage = Vulture, Combat = single seat light fighter (lots of options there), cargo has a few options but Hull A probably fits best for starting a real cargo career. Vulture is 2.6M, Gladius is 2.3 M, prospector is 2.9. The Hull A is the cheapest of these examples at 1.7, but it’s also suuuuuper limited at actually bei g able to do hauling missions. Combat and Hauling both have some form of progression past that for solo players, with top-tier solo combat topping out at F7A MK II, Ares, F8C as dedicated solo ships, and Connie as “potentially solo-able”. Cargo has options, though no other dedicated solo ships I can think of off the top of my head. I’d say C2 is probably the top of the “potentially solo-able” for C2 but you’d be taking a pretty big risk.
I think precision mode in turrets is coded so that it removes your POV from your character and it's a floating camera above and in front to simulate the zooming in, so the "sunglass filter" and the black screen on 890j turrets might be your camera leaving the turret window, and your camera glitching into hangar floor, respectively
I had an issue up for the firebird interior being extremely bright and incorrectly lit but it didn't get enough traction to be approved. Glad this was something they fixed as it made flying the ship not fun. Same with the Guardian.
For the Drake Corsair, bed log out only works with the bed at the back, the farthest away from the cockpit. The one with a decorated room and bed with blankets. All other beds do not work. (Because it makes total sense, that the Captain has the bed the farthest away from the bridge...)
Thank you for doing making these test videos. What is your testing methodology? Is this just a one-off? Are you trying against different server geography/occupancy?
Can you do a test on whether or not Cross-section in Stealth is being detected behind terrain/inside asteroid holes? Someone in Spectrum said it's working now, and preventing you from getting detected. If so, that's HUGE news for stealth pilots.
I've got a 4090 and I also get the pixelated view on my Corsair. It's been doing that for a while, but only in stations for some reason. I loved that ship but with what they did to it I'm saving it as a token for a Starlancer BLD. They let you lock the door from the outside just like you can lock your house from the outside. Hacking is coming so locking is a precursor.
If you use DLSS then the Corsair will have that pixelated effect around its nose area. DLSS in SC is kind of half-baked and you will get these really weird graphical bugs. And most ships in 4.0 will not let you bed log in them. And the ones that do allow you to bed log might get your account stuck in an unrecoverable state when you try to relog back in.
Hey, hope you can see my comment. I actually reported the Hercules bug too (not that exact one), but somehow my Hercules is still bugged. I assume I just haven’t entered a fixed shard yet? Also, in my issue report I had mentioned the elevator arm of the Hercules once again doesn’t spawn. This was an old bug that has more than once come and gone. Any chance to share this in a video? CIG needs to know the bug came back, and while it’s not game-ending, it was nice seeing the elevator finally open and the arm coming down in older versions once it was fixed. Thanks for your hard work as always!
Oh I really hope that the STY landing is fixed as you said, been broken for so long. I wanna do proper high speed & brake decoupled landing with it just like other ships 😊 Edit: Also avoid the flying into the roof of the hangar accidentally at takeoff issue of course, since you can't stop the momentum currently
Wish they would fix the hull c. I worked my way up to experienced contracts only for the Cargo dock to bug out nearly 9/10 times. It's bad, but I'm keeping at it..
i didnt see it in the notes, but the sabre comet has been bugged for many, many months, wrong color and some paints make it completely invisible on occasion and the only hit box is the pilot itself giving it a semi god mode, dont suppose you can check? i honestly just want the dam thing to be blue again.....
As an example maybe something like having the Size 1 Miningheads be more percise to get quality mineables and the Size 2 more like a bulk mininghead, faster and more power. Maybe even allow the mole to have Size 1 heads on the side as an option. Another thought i just had, make the mining UI in the pilot seat gimbaled (maybe it is already, but i never tested it)
I don´t think they should slave the laser to the pilot in the mole, if you want to solo fly a mining ship, get the Prospector and not a multi Crew mole I would say ^^
I really really really badly want to see some deep dive into a single bug on how in the world it came to be and how it’s possible to have some many regressions every single patch. How did the Corsair’s beds randomly get deleted???
Developers worked very hard at CIG, and sometimes they have to work overtime, so they need to take nap in the office, guess where they find the mattress 😆
Hy Foxy... can yout test to unocking the snubfighter from the Connys? I have a Phoenix and i can`t undock my Archimedes... make i a mistake or is it broken?
a week after 4.01 goes Live will we not be right back where we are today? servers degrade. until they fix the entity count issues these "fixes" are only temporary
Foxy, if they slaved the center mining turret of the MOLE to the pilot, who would even bother with a Prospector ever again? A solo MOLE just ABSOLUTELY CRUSHES a Prospector in absolutely EVERY way. Completely obsoletes it. That's why you can't mine from the pilot seat. EDIT: Nevermind, you figured that out yourself. So yeah, you understand why it hasn't happened.
It is so sad that they have fixed the speed limiter is not precise enough. I reported that on the issue council and i was about 2 more contributions to confirm the issue. Even this was an issue that was on older versions but now you can barely control your ship while playing on mouse and keyboard, it looks like you are just a bad pilot and not that the speed limiter can't go below 30m/s..
I know what you mean, but I think that is intended, once the elevator is lowered, you use the elevator button to send it up, but once the elevator is up, the button outside has interaction so you can bring it down.
@cpt_foxyloxy seems wrong bc to close your ship you have to jump press the inside button. And on the other doors and ships the button just change like ramps and airlocks. The inside was never broken to, people (and i) just complaining that the front elevator hasthe stupid F prom and the inside elevater has a nice panel that is actually usable(despite the trespassing warning) Keep the good work going 💪 DK
@D4RKMA7TER yes of course. The only option that shows after power is "retract." I can deploy with "S" and enter turret mode. However, nothing works outside of that. Also says "no target" for some reason. This in 4.0, but I haven't tried 4.0.1
Pointless to have multiplayer ships set up to have a solo player run them. Heck give the pilot full control of all weapons on a Polaris as well. Multi crew should = multi crew multi station work. Not solo ship bigger.
Multi crew is getting shoved down our throats I don't like it. I understand that it is meant to fill a roll but I would like the option to use a capable ship without requiring Multi crew to scale my success.
the mattress has been stolen... maybe you need to pay some more, for your mattresses... :) NB: you still can't TACTILE PRESS IN FIRST PERSON all the entry buttons of all ships... so it's NOT THAT KINDA GAME still. NBB: so the bug fixes they claim AREN'T FIXED... k-yist this project even lies about solved errors.
corsair captain cabine you got a CLEAR visible sit / lay indicator at the bottom of the bed ... if you would not rush everything you might had seen it. Also you did not use the medivac ursa where was its turret ?
the world is literally burning and they fix non essential problem :D how about missions npc ai npc rubber bounding , ships spawn on top each other doors do not open server horror at every move cargo mission from stanton to pyro , Bro this CIG is taking a piss , where are the stability updates that Chris promise they say they focus on stability and performance WTF is this
I imagine those things will take longer than a week to fix. Remember the majority of CIG was on Christmas break until january 6th so this is what they did in a week
Your connection quality/speed and PC setup are big factors in your gaming experience with SC. Some areas and countries have crappy or even intermittent internet connections to the game servers. Some players play on laptops or potato rigs and have all sorts of issues. Everything about SC requires fast. A fast processor, fast RAM, fast graphics card, a fast dependable connection to perform well. During Wave 1 of 4.0 many players were complaining about elevators, player inventories, interactions and even logging into the game not working for them whilst players like myself were not experiencing any of these bugs. It would appear the player's experience is not the same for all players. Every action you take in SC requires it to pass through the replication layer so as to be tracked by the game server. This is EVERYTHING we do. Player weapon and armor loadouts, dropping a water bottle on the ground, moving over and interacting with a kiosk, loading cargo onto a ship, flying around, QT'ing to a new location. All of that has to be catalogued and tracked by the game server. Your client needs to be able to send and receive these calls in literal real time to match up on both ends with the game servers. If there is a hitch in that two-way communication, that manifests as a lag spike or even worse, a disconnect. I am telling you; I play on a beast PC built to play SC and future proof myself as well as playing over a 1Gig high speed connection and I simply do not have many of these issues as players like yourself have.
Keep up the hard work! Wish there were more content creators as dedicated to bug testing as you!
The MOLE is such a cool ship. I think the point of the mining UI for the pilot is to use it for scanning rocks for their mass and composition and such, not to do actual mining.
Glad to see you documented the Nova and Storn tanks bouncing around. I had the same experience!
This game has so many silly bugs its insane haha
Good work testing!
Hope we have a good year in SC
The Drake Corsair definitely needs a graphic pass. They also need to have a function pass for the co-pilot
The corsair pilot function is the remote turret, no more..
Thank you for keeping CIG on their toes with verifying these fixes.
Thank you for all the testing that you and you org mates have done for us. It's good to see a good chunk of the bugs fixed, but at the same time there still a few that did not actually get fixed.
You are a machine foxy! Thank you for your hard work!
Danke!

Somebody's been a bad boy if they took your mattresses 😂
Thank you for the top notch testing, as always! ❤
Thank you Foxy! Hope they watch!
Slaving the laser of the mole wouldn’t make the prospector useless any more than the guardian’s existence makes a 325a useless. The Prospector is the STARTER mining ship. Solo players should have an upgrade path too.
The ingame price of the Prospector is such that the only way it's a "starter" is if you swiped for one.
@ I said it’s the starter MINING ship, not a starter ship. Different meanings. “Starter ships” are cheap and give you a taste of multiple game loops while being great at none of them. Excellent work your doing Foxy , really enjoy your info on current states of game. Thanks👍👍👍
really great to finally see the Hercules fixed and usable again, really annoying to have my loaner M2 completely worthless
the welcome to your drake interplanetary craft in the 890j turret was funny. i have had the pixilation on the corsair and 400i
I think precision mode in turrets is coded so that it removes your POV from your character and it's a floating camera above and in front to simulate the zooming in, so the "sunglass filter" and the black screen on 890j turrets might be your camera leaving the turret window, and your camera glitching into hangar floor, respectively

Haha what was that Drake initiation sound in the Jump turret :D maybe just the overlapping hangar thing...
Glad I wasn't the only one who heard that
the Star lancer bug was not being able to send lift back up when u get out.... external button stops working
And, in my experience, remains unfixed.
This. "Starboard EXTERNAL control panel". And as far as I've seen, it's not fixed.
Smashing out the bug fix list!
For the Drake Corsair, bed log out only works with the bed at the back, the farthest away from the cockpit. The one with a decorated room and bed with blankets. All other beds do not work.
(Because it makes total sense, that the Captain has the bed the farthest away from the bridge...)
Corsair has been broken since they took a away the guns from pilot really glitchy ship
Man bugs in this game are like hydra. Cut off one head and 2 more shall take its place. Its getting kinda old at this point lol
7:40 I think that pixelated stuff is a hint from the game to clear the shader cache.
Thank you for doing making these test videos. What is your testing methodology? Is this just a one-off? Are you trying against different server geography/occupancy?
Man foxy you doing smszing work! 🎉
You have a dangerous collection Foxy.
Anyone else notice at 4:10 the 890 jump turret pulls the sound for drake startup?
i was wondering that
Can you do a test on whether or not Cross-section in Stealth is being detected behind terrain/inside asteroid holes? Someone in Spectrum said it's working now, and preventing you from getting detected. If so, that's HUGE news for stealth pilots.

Hacking is coming so locking is a precursor.
When the Corsair graphics starting glitching and getting pixelated, I've had that happen before too, on different ships
When you powered the front turret of the 890j,it said: "Welcome to your Drake interplanetary craft". What? Drake 890j? That's new 😂
If you use DLSS then the Corsair will have that pixelated effect around its nose area. DLSS in SC is kind of half-baked and you will get these really weird graphical bugs. And most ships in 4.0 will not let you bed log in them. And the ones that do allow you to bed log might get your account stuck in an unrecoverable state when you try to relog back in.
Just wanted to say thanks foxy, I'm a noob and I've learned a lot from watching your videos
also noticed the 400i meridian paint covers the all the doors now
Hey, hope you can see my comment. I actually reported the Hercules bug too (not that exact one), but somehow my Hercules is still bugged. I assume I just haven’t entered a fixed shard yet?

I did the same hangar death once with Retaliator torpedoes.....looks like they did not fix the Hercules elevator still.
You Sir, are a Machine :)
Did they fix the C2 quantum jumping around Yela? Repeatedly goes past jump points, even through the planet.
Wish they would fix the hull c. I worked my way up to experienced contracts only for the Cargo dock to bug out nearly 9/10 times. It's bad, but I'm keeping at it..
CIG is gonna have to watch this hotfix testing trilogy tomorrow
Trilogy? There is one more video coming...lol
@@cpt_foxyloxy trilogy for now, excited for the rest
At 6:34... that's what happens when you leave your ship parked in Pyro without locking the doors.
The MOLE center turret should be remote controlled by the copilot primary and pilot secondary.
How long does it usually take for PTU patches to come to live (this case preview)?
How did you manage to get out of Klescher?
what happens if you put the bomb inside the cargo freight and store it when the timer is still ticking? lol my aswell try that
when are they going to push this to the 4.0? Also what is the name of that alien ship you flew when checking the missile tracking?
LOL, you and the bomb was so funny!
i didnt see it in the notes, but the sabre comet has been bugged for many, many months, wrong color and some paints make it completely invisible on occasion and the only hit box is the pilot itself giving it a semi god mode, dont suppose you can check? i honestly just want the dam thing to be blue again.....
The Klescher ending lol
To balance the MOLE and the Prospector solo, they just need to increase the cost of using the MOLE solo so the profit is similar to a Prospector
As an example maybe something like having the Size 1 Miningheads be more percise to get quality mineables and the Size 2 more like a bulk mininghead, faster and more power. Maybe even allow the mole to have Size 1 heads on the side as an option.
Another thought i just had, make the mining UI in the pilot seat gimbaled (maybe it is already, but i never tested it)
Hi Foxyloxy, can you test if the Hercules's exterior doors will automatically open in response to a weapon attack? With the doors locked.
yes, enough damage will open that ramp whether locked or unlocked
@@cpt_foxyloxy Thanks for testing that, Foxyloxy! Really appreciate the info!
Allegedly you can track someone via pinging their mobiglass. Might be worth testing?
@10:28: Hangar ship elevator = not a real floor. Leaves that part of the hangar = boom. lol
I don´t think they should slave the laser to the pilot in the mole, if you want to solo fly a mining ship, get the Prospector and not a multi Crew mole I would say ^^
The Zeus you can't turn lights on if you have a copilot, they have to do the lights lol
I see the same pixal issues with all types of ships in hangars
I really really really badly want to see some deep dive into a single bug on how in the world it came to be and how it’s possible to have some many regressions every single patch. How did the Corsair’s beds randomly get deleted???
Developers worked very hard at CIG, and sometimes they have to work overtime, so they need to take nap in the office, guess where they find the mattress 😆
I think of CIGs choosing as the Adobe Acrobat code of gaming
Hy Foxy... can yout test to unocking the snubfighter from the Connys? I have a Phoenix and i can`t undock my Archimedes... make i a mistake or is it broken?
Anyone else notice that floating crosshair at 12:46?
top turret is upside down also on the 890
a week after 4.01 goes Live will we not be right back where we are today? servers degrade. until they fix the entity count issues these "fixes" are only temporary

EDIT: Nevermind, you figured that out yourself. So yeah, you understand why it hasn't happened.
Indeed, just a thought cross my mind.
Yea while they are fixing visual issue on corsair how about giving pilot its guns back
👍 Given ☮️ Gearhead 🤓
It is so sad that they have fixed the speed limiter is not precise enough. I reported that on the issue council and i was about 2 more contributions to confirm the issue.

The Stalancer is NOT fixed.
Its the outside button that faild when lowered

@D4RKMA7TER yes of course. The only option that shows after power is "retract." I can deploy with "S" and enter turret mode. However, nothing works outside of that. Also says "no target" for some reason. This in 4.0, but I haven't tried 4.0.1
Sunglass filter!
MOLE pilot should not be able to mine. If you want to solo a miner get a prospector lol
7:45 i have the same bug
Does CIG devs even play this game?
Long answer: no
Short answer: no
Playability? Screw you here's a ship sale!
Pointless to have multiplayer ships set up to have a solo player run them.
Heck give the pilot full control of all weapons on a Polaris as well.
Multi crew should = multi crew multi station work. Not solo ship bigger.
0:48 No it would not be great at all. This is a multi crew mining ship, it needs to stay that way or it instantly becomes meta. No thanks.
Multi crew is getting shoved down our throats I don't like it. I understand that it is meant to fill a roll but I would like the option to use a capable ship without requiring Multi crew to scale my success.

That was the storage under the bed prompt. The Corsair has been missing its beds in the captains bunk since the new PTU patch.
👍🪐
CIG will never allow the pilot of the mole to use the mining head.
