Maby fun fact: The purpouse of having the pinky out is to cusson the glass or cup so it won´t make a sound when you place it down, it also served the dual purpose to cussion the cup or glass so the stem don´t shatter since crystal glass and bone china used to be super fragile(and still is). There are also some sources that say it was to touch the glass as little as possible because servants had touched it, I don´t know about that one...
I've been to multiple multicourse food and drink dinners and this one looks well beyond worth it for the $200 price. From food alternate choices and food and drink pairings to portion size so you can enjoy the whole meal without being miserable at the end, this was an ultimate meal and entertainment experience.
That was amazing to watch. Thank you for sharing that experience. The emotions on Kitra's face when she realized that she liked the taste of rabbit was wonderful. She looked like she needed another cocktail to process what was happening.
The "United Song" is called Rhapsody In Blue and was written by George Gershwin in 1924. It's the first piece of "jazz" ever to be allowed to be performed at Carnegie Hall.
@@OrdinaryAdventures my pleasure, but I see that I'm actually not the first person to mention this. I suppose I should have read down in the comments a little further first.
Kitra and Peter, me and mine partner love watching your videos together! You guys help us plan trips and give us something fun to watch at the end of our days ❤
Please tell me there’s another icon of the sea video coming out and if so when!! Loving the cruise travel content!! Thank you guys so much sending love!! I could watch these all day hahah
The Empire club looked well worth the price. Heck cheaper then what my husband and I spend at Nobu in vegas. So happy you enjoyed it. The monkeys, omg you two kill me lol
Amazing video! I'm loving your Icon series and it really seems that Royal Caribbean nailed it with this ship. Hopefully the prices come down eventually because it's crazy right now
I've been loving the Icon cruise videos! I especially appreciated that you shared the various courses and beverages at Empire. Getting to see the meal options for non-seafood connoisseurs was especially helpful!
I noticed a nice touch with the background of the Empire stage. 8 courses, there's 8 rings (of I assume neon) behind her. Looks like they're supposed to light up matching to each course. I like it. :)
All three of you clean up really well. 🙂That Empire Supper Club experience looked amazing. I also really appreciate you showing us the list of included restaurants and the premium restaurants in list form.
Ive been on 3 cruises so far in my life, one of them was a Disney cruise, and i still remember our waiter at the fancy restaurant. Im neurodivergent and a very picky eater, so i ended up getting buttered noodles and fries, and he was so so nice to me. His name is Nazeem and i still remember what he looks like and everything. He was so nice my mom took a picture of us, and she still has it framed in her home😂❤ He was by far the best server ive ever had, i had a HUGE melt down before dinner because i knew they didnt have anything i liked, and he just made me feel comfortable and he went way out of his way to feed me. Im 34 now and this was when i was in 4th grade, and ill probably always remember him. Yalls videos make me want to go on another cruise😂 I dont travel much because of medical conditions i have, but cruises really are fun, and they aren't as hard on my system as flying is. Ive only been on a few, but i feel like cruises are something you can do over and over again and still not experience everything there is to do. Especially now with these big ships! Its so crazy seeing how big this is!
Must admit...Just found you guys online and LOVE IT! Subscribed and getting my popcorn to watch some more. We will be trying this restaurant in the summer. Can't wait. Your facial expressions were AWESOME!
Wow! This video was as luxurious as that dinner. What fantastic editing. I would show this video to anyone who was unsure about cruising. So fun. Gonna show it to my brother as a hint hint 😉
Lots of good local pizza shops that use those New York style deck ovens ... If you're in SoCal and ever in the Huntington Beach area look up 'Ghost Pizza Kitchen' right off the 405 freeway on Edinger ave ,,, they really make a great New York slice ,, but order the whole pizza you'll get more flavor from a fresh made pizza vs a reheated slice ... They also have one location in LA and one in Burbank too
"East of Houston" is a play on the name of an area of NYC (the theme of the restaurant) called South of Houston (SOHO). So it's pronounced House-ton. Additionally, the "Delta Theme" is Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin and is probably the unofficial theme of NYC. (or at least it was before "New York, New York" hit the scene.

Wow, what a fun experience the Empire Supper Club seemed to be, looked very cool. The one hit wonder show at the end was fun as well. Sad that we only have one more video of this cruise, but every video has been so wonderful.

We were just on Icon of the Seas last week and ate at Empire Supper Club for my birthday and was one of the best dining experience I have ever had. My favorite course was the raviolo. It was fun seeing your different reactions to the different drinks and showed how different palates can be. Great video!

This one was am-azing! So happy to hear it’s more than worth the price, that made super fun. Kitra, you found the loveliest dress & you looked so gorgeous! 👍😘
It’s an amazing ship. If you decide rot go I would wait a year or so to book because right now the prices have like doubled due to demand and then being nearly sold out for the first year

The sandwich you had is affectionately called a “beef on weck.” The roll is simply pronounced Kimmel-weck. It is native to the northeast around Buffalo/Western NY. It was originally crafted in Polish delis- most notably Charlie the Butcher or Schwabels. It has a Wikipedia page. It is extremely popular in the region, and usually served with aus ju, horseradish, and a dill pickle.
I didn’t ask but from what I understand they do not discount the experience and the alcohol would be replaced with zero proof cocktails that accompany each dish. I still think it would be worth it but it’s probably more worth it for someone who is going to consume alcohol. We had the drink package and didn’t get a discount on the experience
I am a server at a restaurant called Marina in Pasadena, CA and we have a rabbit bolognese. It turns so many people off seeing “rabbit” on the menu but it’s very popular. Come visit sometime!

Hi! Great video and I am enjoying the way you all presented the Empire restaurant part (compared to you friends who do videos like ‘Recess’ ) easier to follow ! I’m not an alcohol drinker, so I wonder if the elevator price reflects all the alcohol you get, and if there’s an option to not buy the alcohol and pay less?
We liked how Recess presented all the courses in their videos with the illustrative cards. And no I don’t think they discount the experience if you don’t drink alcohol but I heard they will replace the drinks with zero proof mocktails
I can just imagine how huge this ship is. We just got back from Orlando and last Sat. we took a ride to Port Car-naval and watched 5 ships leave Carnival Mardi Gras and Vista, RCL Adventure of the Seas, NCL and the Disney Fantasy and they looked huge but they probably would of looked like a tug boat compared to Icon!
