The TRUTH About Dream Vacations And Why They Are So Dangerous

Did you know that your dream vacation could quickly turn into a travel nightmare before you EVEN BOOK IT?!!
Yeah!! Me either!!
That's what this post is all about. I'm going to show the hidden dangers of your dream vacation and what it could be doing to you that you aren't even aware of.
It's crazy!!
But it's SUPER easy to fix.
Your "DREAM" is the very thing stopping you from traveling.
Hear me out..
I'm pretty sure that if I were to ask you what your dream vacation is, you could name an exotic or historic place that you've been fantasizing about since you were a little non-traveler in elementary school.
The Cold Hard Truth...
Most of our dream vacations are out of our budget and seem financially as far away as Pluto.
You think about it, you dream about it but your budget just can't seem to catch up with your fantasy to make it a reality.
So what do you do? Like most people, you do nothing and go about your regular life and never get your passport, never take any trips and continue to live the life of someone who is a flight risk and has had their passport revoked.
I have news for you! Your passport has not been revoked and your opportunity to travel is right around the corner.
Just like anything else in life, you have to be intentional and take small steps.
Imagine an infant observing you running across the room and "dreaming" about the day when they could do the same thing. If that infant tried to run one time and couldn't, then just gave up. It would never run!
Instead, the infant has to:
Learn to crawl,
Learn to stand
Learn to walk and
Eventually learn to run.
The same principle and process holds true for traveling.
You have to first crawl, take a trip anywhere domestic or international (get some momentum).
Then, get your passport (this puts you in a position of expectation).
Start walking, take an international trip (anywhere within your budget).
Fly like the wind, once you have a trip or two, abroad, under your belt, you'll be more motivated than ever and better equipped to make your dream trip a reality.
Adjust Your Sails
Once you start to travel and stop fantasizing about it, your dream trip often changes.
Yep!
It changes!!
I'm serious!
There's something about getting out of the country and your comfort zone that changes your perspective and priorities.
My plea to you is to put your dream vacation aside and begin to crawl, stand and walk. Do whatever the NEXT step is for YOU in your journey.
If you have not traveled.... travel!
If you don't have a passport.... apply for your passport!
If you haven't left the country.... leave the country!!
If you have left the country, focus on making your dream a reality by being intentional and researching cheaper and feasible options to make it happen.

Do you use credit cards to pay for plane tickets? I haven't traveled outside of the country yet but I would love to someday. I haven't even traveled around my own country first but I do plan on making a trip to Vegas, Sedona, and Mt. Shasta in California. That's a start for me. I already pay off my student loan debt every month. My credit score is not the greatest.

You can use credit cards or debit cards. I prefer credit cards because the ones that I use have travel protection included in them. Cruising is another cool option because you can make payments on your trip and you can book cruises up to two years in advance.
