I’ve never heard of that before. There’s usually no reason you can’t walk out of the hospital, after all, you’re going to be up and looking after your children and your home. *maybe we do things differently in Canada. 🤷♀️

But the difference in ages between my first and second is 5 years and 5 years between my third and fourth. 15 years difference between the oldest and the youngest. Four girls. My son. I had twins by c-section and I walked out. Only stipulation was I couldn't carry the babies incase I got dizzy and fell.
