We do have to also humanize all that are looking for freedom including the Palestinians who condemn Hamas and just also want peace and freedom...we can't have zero sum politics, though, believe, I am down with this whole conversation. But folks have to be on the watch for tribalism.
@@myronschabeyes. The people suffer. I've worked with many Persians; they were fortunate to get out of Iran. A few are atheists. One, a Christian and one Muslim. They all escaped the tyranny and are intelligent and hard working. I'm a healthcare professional, and one coworker was a doctor in Iran, another was in med school. They helped me so MUCH at the beginning of my career. These are humans who despise the Iranian regime.

I was a hippie in the 1970’s, protested against the Vietnam war, ( I am sure outside agitators with other agendas were there too) but it was protesting against the war, the war was horrible, and at least the hippies did not join the Viet Cong.

You say some of the student demonstrations are allegedly "pro Hamas". Interesting strategic lead in. You could have just as tactfully said "pro Palestinian", especially since there is a difference. All Hamas agents are Palestinians but, not all Palestinians are Hamas agents. Rather than taking one side against the other, would it not be better to say that both sides are responsible for this war and both sides should accept the consequences of their actions?! 🙏🤨
Well, one side has been trained since early childhood to hate Jews. So today all grown up Palestinians in Gaza have the same mindset. It has become part of the culture to blame Israel for just everything. Responsible for this kind of Kindergarden, school and university training is the Hamas. Just like in Germany during the Hitler-regime. Hitler and his Nazi-troops first had to be eliminated before the Germans could be re-educated and democracy established by the occupying power, the Americans, French, British and Russians.
