I consider myself very lucky to be a Carde fan all my 52 years on this planet
Was very lucky to have had the thrill of being a fan when Whitey was here
    RIP WHITEY
YOU WILL BE AND ARE MISSED

Will never be another Whitey. Such a great guy and manager. I already miss him dearly.

When Whitey came to St. Louis they had a bunch of home run hitters who couldn’t score any runs……sounds just a little bit like the current Cardinals offense, doesn’t it?

That old carpet field helped them then too. They would just pound the ball into the ground and beat out hits.
