I'm just tired of washington and the ever changing laws. It's not just the gun laws it's all the laws. It's like a bunch of 1st grade kids are in control, and just make up rules based on weather they had a nap earlier or not.
Started with little infringements all for our good, motorcycle helmets, mandatory seatbelts, mandatory insurance, no smoking anywhere, waiting periods, trigger bans, mag bans, no AR parts, no pistols or even a 22 with a threaded barrel, mental health checks, worthless semi auto rifle training courses online with now another course to buy anything.
1) Pursue and vote for the realignment of state boundary lines. 2) 2/3 of BOTH Eastern Washington & Eastern Oregon should become parts of more friendly or a new state. 3) get the damn people to register to vote. Elections in states like this have an enormous amount of 2A friendly that are NOT registered or don’t vote.
Changing the test from "common use" to "common use in self defense" would seem to be the court directly challenging the authority of SCOTUS, making legal decisions that are completely untethered to relevant precedent. This is the equivalent of judicial insurrection IMO. Not sure what remedy, if any, exists for that, but it seems that is a few steps further than the standard work out a legal loophole strategy.

RKBA is now a state privilege not a federal right, so you have to choose wisely where you live and where you travel to.

The SCOTUS should perhaps reword some of their rulings so they are not left open to interpretation. These lower courts seem to have a hard time understanding SCOTUS rulings.

If that wins, that just makes them NFA fodder. The real hurdle is getting the FAA to stop classifying drones of any size as 747 jet liners. It's a federal offense to fly any drone of any size without an appropriate license, and the drone MUST be registered with the FAA with a way for the FAA to track if it's flying and where it is in the air when it is activated and flying. It's also a federal offense to interfere with a drone in motion, whether the drone is flying legal or otherwise. When you look at a basic 10" drone, picture in your mind a 777 with 300 souls aboard, and act appropriately. 🤣

Or maybe I'm thinking of another one he did in like 4 and a half seconds - Literally took him longer to do his "I'm the lockpicking lawyer, and today I've got...." intro spiel than it did for him to open the lockbox he was featuring. (And let's not even get started on the "ultra-security" gun lock that he bypassed in just over 3 seconds - using a twig he snapped off a bush outside his front door...)
@@Ferd414 I was generous in my estimate for 2 reasons: 1) most of us will not be as skilled as he is and 2) he probably practiced it a while before filming.
It's intended to keep young kids separate from the firearm when it's not under your direct control, it's not a safe for long term storage or to prevent theft.
Unfortunately without a direct SCOTUS ruling, the Washington state awb will be overturned about the same time the California awb from the early 90s is overturned.
How much longer before all these horrible rulings go through the appellate process to the point where they finally work their way up to the Supreme Court? How many more steps do we have to wait through?

The burden is on the government to show that an arm is NOT in common use. It only helps us for the court to get this backwards. And for them to also keep trying the interest balancing game. Needs to get to SCOTUS.

The SCOTUS should perhaps reword some of their rulings so they are not left open to interpretation. These lower courts seem to have a hard time understanding SCOTUS rulings.
They can make it as solid as they want. These states don’t care. The disarmament of the people will continue whilst they grow their soldiery and radicalize them against the common man.
The second amendment says arms. All guns are arms. Please these judges cannot be that stupid.
I'd like to see a lawyer make an intelligent argument on whether drones could be classified as a bearable arm and thus protected under the 2a.
If that wins, that just makes them NFA fodder.
The real hurdle is getting the FAA to stop classifying drones of any size as 747 jet liners.
It's a federal offense to fly any drone of any size without an appropriate license, and the drone MUST be registered with the FAA with a way for the FAA to track if it's flying and where it is in the air when it is activated and flying.
It's also a federal offense to interfere with a drone in motion, whether the drone is flying legal or otherwise.
When you look at a basic 10" drone, picture in your mind a 777 with 300 souls aboard, and act appropriately.

Another thing to learn about legal arguments is that asking those in government to uphold the right AND ABILITY of the people to toss them out on their asses is like asking the police to investigate themselves and hold themselves accountable. Who still believes that pablum?
Hopefully, the courts will eventually recognize that these bans do nothing to enhance public safety, and we’ll see real change.
