I love your clear and precise tutorial on how to create. The top is beautiful
Thank you so much!
I know this is an old video but thank you for showing EVERY SINGLE step, especially finishing the seams. I'm new to sewing and no one shows finishing the seams, which doesn't make me want to keep sewing because the inside of my pieces look "ugly"
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the tips on making the larger sizes, your steps are so clear, really cute tank, looks smashing on you...of course your fabric line makes it even more beautiful.
Thank you!
Thank you, Melly. 😊I recommend everyone make their own bias tape, because it is easy and always gives a professional touch! I make my own patterns too, and happy to see you show your subscribers how easy the process is! Great video and your fabric is lovely. You are a talented artist/seamstress/designer.💖😊
Thank you - glad you enjoy it!
Thanks for the pattern & super tutorial. The pattern can be easily extended into a dress, above the knee slip dress or longer. Great for hot weather
Yes, though I'd swing out the side seams for dress lengths.
Alex Jaafar You must remember to add your hip measurement and seam allowance. You may want to incorporate a quarter size skirt sloper, use slash and spread method, and increase to your measurements on large sheet of paper for pattern for accurate fit of finished garment.😊👗
You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for this tutorial. I can't wait to sew it!
Thanks for watching!
Sweeet! Thank you 🙏 watching you sew as you go and as descriptive as you are helped me get through my first tank top!!!
Dyslexic friendly video!!!! Thank you! 🙏💕
Glad it was helpful!
Great idea using wrapping paper to draft patterns
One of my favorite cheap tricks :)
This is such an awesome, in-depth tutorial! Thank you!
Thanks!
Love love this, now I need to learn to make the matching shorts. I'm planning to make several of these to sleep in, perfect for the summer nights or just being around the home.
Yes, they could be great for that!
I love how easy this will be thank you so much looking forward to making this.
Happy sewing!
Thanks for this video. I enjoyed making the top and learnt a few new things alongs the way - enlarging the pattern and making the bound side seams. My only wish is that everyone around the world would use the metric system and make life a lot easier! Thanks again ☺️
People who are raised on the imperial system find thinking in the metric system just as difficult as you do trying to convert.
This is really good. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Wow!! Such a great video! Very informative
Thanks for watching!
I'm teaming this with pom pom shorts as summer pjs. Thanks.
That would be cute!
I got your fabric this week from Fat Quarter Shop. It is FABULOUS!
I'm so happy you like it!
Really cute! Can't wait to try this. Tfs
Thanks for watching!
currently making this as my first ever sewing project while quarantined
Hope you have fun sewing!
Wow! You make this look so easy! Definitely want to try to make this. I am big busted, and I like my tops longer so I definitely to pay attention to the adjustments. There’s also another technique “pin and slide” method that I did once that seems easier. Question: You mentioned we can use any fabric - can I use a quilter’s cotton as it comes in so many beautiful prints, or do you recommend something else? Thank you God Bless!
My sample is made in quilting cotton, but depending on your figure and preferences you might want a fabric that drapes more.
Thanks for the pattern, I made one for my niece and now I want to make another for.myself, my bust measures 39" i have spread out but am now having trouble retracing the lines they don't match up like the original pattern
You either have to smooth out the mismatches or cut more vertical lines to spread across. And definitely use cheap fabric to test your fit before cutting the good fabric.
can you do a video on how you created your own collection? That's pretty awesome.
I did, here mellysews.com/how-to-design-fabric/
@@Mellysews thank you so much!!!!
Glad I found You

I have tried to download the pattern for this camisole but with no luck....I'm an All Access plan holder
I'm sorry you're having trouble; this page explains how to download from your account and the third video on the page also shows how to do it. blankslatepatterns.com/pages/faq
👍💖 awesome thanks you

can u please do a simple beach wedding dress?
Probably not as I don’t know anyone getting married any time soon.
I know I'm late to the party, but could you show a wide strap too? Us bigger girls have to wear bras, and I don't want a skinny strap shirt & a wide strap bra. Thanks☺️ I appreciate this kind too, esp for pjs👍
A wider strap with continuous construction that finishes the armhole edge like this one wouldn't work well, you'd need a different pattern.
@@Mellysews Thank you👍 I finally finished my little sewing area, so I'm excited to try your channel😊
Cool
Thanks
Is this woven or knit fabric?
This is woven
Wait where’s the free pattern? I can’t find or see it.
All the details to get it are in the post linked in the video description
