    2009 Newmar is in great condition. Like the storage and that big screen tv. Hey its real easy to swap out that faucet with another rv faucet. When you come back to Palm Springs, check out Blair's RV Store up here on Dillon Road in Desert Hot Springs. They have everything. Nice family owned store. Wont believe everything they have. We even asked if they wanted our old shower doors. They were in great shape, but we did not want them. They took them without me trying to figure out what to do with them.

    Hi Brian and Michelle, that's a nice quality built rig you have there. Can you tell me how many miles were on it, and how many hours on the generator when you bought it? 350 cummins, I assume that's 350 horse power? Allison transmission I assume also? Did the dealer do any major maintenance for you? What about the tires and brakes were they newer? I've been looking at buying a 2013 or newer diesel motorhome and wondering about the maintenance required for a motorhome with say 25K miles. Have you had any major issues yet like leveling jacks not working, or tank sensors, or electrical issues? I like your work station setup and it looks very practical and livable. What kind of remote work do you both do (besides the videos)? Sorry lots of questions. Thanks for the tour!

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  5 років тому +1

      Hi David, Thanks! It had 38,000 miles, so it had likely been sitting for a while. the dealer (National Indoor RV Center) has an onsite campground that they encourage their customers to stay while they are making sure everything works and fixes any issues. They replaced a leveling jack motor and rewired the ground wire on the slides, because there is a known issue with this Ventana having a bad ground wire and causing the modules to go bad.
      Tire code was 2015, so some time left on those. Brakes are good. We would advise researching some professional sources online for maintenance required directly specific to the specific bus you want to buy.
      I had to replace the Precision Temp water heater hose and water pump so far. I did this myself and was very easy. Saves a lot of $$.
      Thanks, I would like a better setup for myself, but Michelle likes he setup. It works for me for now though. :)
      We will discuss our work later in another video. :)
      Thanks again David!

    That's a great setup! For the small bathroom vanity, could you put in an insert (like the kitchen sink) to provide extra space for Michelle's hair/makeup? Or would the sink need to have a small lip to hold that in?

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  5 років тому

      +Heather Cupples Thanks Heather! Yes, that is possible, however she said she has to wash her hands often during her “process” 😜 and with the sink itself being much smaller than a kitchen sink, it would leave little room to wash her hands. Great idea though! She says it has been working out just fine...goes to show you that it’s all relative to what you get used to. We both honestly wouldn’t trade this lifestyle back just to have more “space”. We had a get together last night with a group of other full timers. Everyone feels the same way. None of us would go back to the “routine” life for more space or even better pay. Life truly happens when you start “Living” life. 😊🤓 Sorry to get off subject. Lol Again, your idea is a GREAT idea and really should be utilized in certain floor plans that have the space or a little bigger sinks. I’m sure we could probably reconfigure the entire cabinet and sink area to utilize a little more space. But who knows, we may eventually trade it in for a different floor plan. 😳😬 Thanks again for the kind words and the VERY good idea! I’m betting someone may read this and be able to utilize your idea. 😎🤓👍🏻🌴☀️

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  5 років тому

      +Jean Decker Thank you, glad you enjoyed the tour. I wonder what’s causing it to look dark? You’re the second person that said this but on our end it was bright and clear before and after the upload, so not sure what would be causing that on some devices and not all. I wonder if it has to do with the data speed because UA-cam will automatically switch from 480 to 720 or 1080 etc. which usually effects the clarity of the video. I’ll check into this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. 😃

    Another GREAT video guys :). I love the shameless plug of LivinRVision on the 📺 lol. I am curious. Has any of this been daunting or have you come up against anything that you needed to call the RV center for? We have rented different models of RVs before, just to get a feel for what would be a good fit. We have definitely had a few RV(Robin Williams) moments ;)

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  5 років тому +1

      Crafty Clarke thanks again! 😃
      We haven’t had to call the dealership on anything so far. We had a water pump go bad that I replaced myself (easy install), bay doors latches & front door lock needed adjusted so I took care of that, Precision Temp H2O tankless heater hose was leaking, so I replaced that, refrigerator door wasn’t locking correctly and I fixed that...so there’s been a few minor things so far (knock on wood), but nothing that we had to go back to the dealer on.
      Lol “RV”...that was a hilarious movie...I’ve been waiting (patiently) for a perfect time to reference that movie. 😂

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  5 років тому

      +Joel Edge Thank you very much! :) We will do a video on our jobs at some point, David was asking the same thing, so to be brief, Michelle is a Payroll Accountant for a company she has been with for quite a while that allowed her to work from home and agreed to make this work for her. She has been absolutely LOVING it! I took some time off in the disaster recovery field and other side business of work to work on creating this content to document our life and journey as well as help others, solely due to the inspiration we received to get us to this point. Just a fair warning...I now put it WAY more than 49 hrs and closer to 60 per week now, BUT I enjoy it very much!
      We also looked at Tiffan and Monoco. We came very close to buying a truck and fifth wheel and changed our minds within a few days of hitting the road.

    Great video! Just discovered your channel! Thank you for sharing your beginning experiences. 2 questions....are you still looking to sell your rig? Also, did you enjoy your experience with the indoor rv center?
    We live in SW CO. We're in the ramp up process of acquiring a motorhome. I believe we'll mainly do what I call fan blade trips; use home as the base and head out for a month or so to explore a specific region such as pacific north west or California or the north east, etc. Stay healthy!

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you and welcome! 😊🤓 We are still wanting to sell but the pandemic put the brakes on that for a while but we are ready to start looking again. To be completely honest, we had a long unpleasant experience which was very disappointing after some of the positive reviews we had heard about prior.
      As far as “Vinny Ventana”, we can’t complain as he has been very good to us (Knock on wood). Newmars are definitely built very well.
      Sounds like a good plan! We love the SW and can see it being our “home base” someday. Good luck with your motorhome search and if you are looking for an older model Ventana, (2009) let us know. 😊
      Stay safe and safe travels!

      @@LivinRVision Yes....millions of plans have been changed lately:-( I just hope people's lives can get back to normal soon.
      Ok...wow....so far, I hadnt heard too many grumbles with the indoor rv center.
      Ok...your rig is bigger than we were generally looking for; mainly to get into national and state parks. The flip side of that is as crazy as national parks are, I don't see taking an rv into them very much. Of course, I would defer that to folks that actually do rv to see the parks: do they take their 33-40 ft rigs into the park or do they just make a patrol base at an outside of the park campground and drive their toad in?
      I have gone from considering a well loved dodge ram van camper to a newer sprinter -eqsue van to a small travel trailer to a used cruise america class c to a full size class a or c. Thanks to the military, my liking to take a shower with the wall in my face while straddling the toilet faded away. I would prefer to have the comforts come with; probably either a uses diesel or new faster or new class c

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому

      We have heard anything 40 foot or under gets you all in most National Parks but we haven’t camped at any yet. We usually drive our toad in. We concur about the shower and straddling the toilet 😂

    • @campingalan
      @campingalan 4 роки тому +1

      Ok.....cool. One can bring lots of life amenities in less than 40feet! We have several national parks within a few hours of our house. I've been thinking more about it since I sent you the note the other day; my guess is it is a zoo to be RVing in the national parks, even with a 24 footer.We are looking for a rig in the 9-12 months period from now. I will continue to monitor your situation. If you end up holding on to it until the end of the year or beginning of next year, then we may be interested in it. I committed to paying cash for our kids' college. I'll be making the last semester payment for our youngest child in Dec. And, we're concurrently paying off our house.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому +1

      Your kids always come first. 😊. We hope to either sell or trade before then but who knows. It sure will be sad though. Funny how you get attached to a hunk of metal as if it is a living being. 😂🤣
