    In this video you are taken on a ride, as I review what it’s like to ride my Honda Cb 300r for a full year as I navigate the streets of Brooklyn, NY. As an artist getting out & soaking up some culture is all part of the creative process. This video is part of my life styling playlist. Thanks for watching the video Year One Of Riding My Honda Cb300r The Up’s & Downs...Music by D.riot (take to the sky) Spotify link:

    Unless you’re touring big distances this bike is all you need.
    I’ve been through everything including litre bikes, but I’ve come back to smaller capacity because with age comes a certain amount of wisdom.
    And the old saying that it’s more fun riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow is very true.

    This was a good enjoyable video for me to watch and be reminded about when I started riding motorcycles in 2008. I moved from a 150cc (10hp) to a 250cc (26hp) to a 650cc (80hp) and now I track a 600cc (130 hp) bike. I think that was the perfect way to progress and would 100% recommend others to do the same if they want to develop their skills.

      Hey thanks bro..Thats a good transition you had. I agree it is the perfect way to progress and I do plan to upgrade at some point. Curious do you ride on the street also or only track?

    Great video man! Feeling this will be my first bike too. Just passed my practical test over here in Australia and we gotta do a theory test too before we can ride but very excited.

    Hey great bike! I have a 2019. Just a word of advice, I know, I know, everyone has one....but you leave your blinkers on when you turn often. Could spell disaster if they think you're turning right and they're turning left opposite.

    • @Johnelilopez
      @Johnelilopez  9 місяців тому

      I always welcome constructive advise, you are a 100% correct. Ever since that video I’ve gotten much better at turning it off because i noticed in my regular day to day rides I had that bad habit. Ride safe bro, thanks.

    Over 90% of ALL bikes sold in the world are UNDER 250cc's. It's more than enough unless you travel long distances at greater than 50 mph.

    • @Johnelilopez

      Sounds about right, I agree. No regrets on my purchase.

    i dont enjoy riding over 70 mph in uk anymore... the wind noise gets on my nerves ..best fun on a winding slower road on a smaller bike.. all my best rides have been 45-60 mph on scenic roads... and i have been around the TT course on a fast bike... the smaller bike just as much fun... stop listening to the hype.. and ride for yourself.. straight off the Bat ...lol

    • @Johnelilopez

      I 100% agree…unless your on a larger cc bike with a wind screen. But that is why I chose this bike for my first bike & it is more fun, you could rip the throttle. Only sometimes you want more power but that’s cool. Thanks for the comment & you ride safe bro!!

    I need to travel about 10 mins at 70mph slightly uphill as part of my commute, do you think this bike can handle it?

    • @Johnelilopez
      @Johnelilopez  2 роки тому

      Yes I think it should be no problem, I’ve never felt this bike struggle, only getting from like 80-90 takes a minute. I think it just depends on if your use to a higher cc bike with a lot of torque, then it might be a change for you.

    • @lazomaniac
      @lazomaniac 2 роки тому +1

      @@Johnelilopez I see. This would be my first bike ever so I have no reference point. I've also thought of getting a svartpilen 401 instead which has a bit more power, but I really like how the cb300r looks plus the reliability of honda.

    • @Johnelilopez
      @Johnelilopez  2 роки тому +1

      @@lazomaniac LMAO That is exactly the dilemma I had before I purchased the Honda. I liked Svartpilen also, plus the Duke 390, BMW 310, Mt 03, Ducati scrambler etc. I went with honda because out of all of them I liked that look the best & Honda’s reliability. But yes do as much research as needed because you have to live with it. This was my first bike also & I don’t regret the purchase at all. Good luck keep me posted.
