I think in order for Dragon's Dogma 2 to do better than the first game some serious changes should be made to appeal to a wider audience. I think you should play as a set character who's a war photographer, it should have some kind of time limit (say 72 in game hours which equals about 10 irl hours) there should be hundreds of enemies on screen at once and they should all be zombies, the map should be a mall and the game should be renamed Dead Rising: Remake. DD is a great game, it does start kinda slow with a long escort quest before the main city for some reason. One thing to keep in mind, your stats go up based on what class you are when you level up. You can beat the game no matter what you do, but playing a warrior for 100 levels then switching to a wizard is going to give you a hard time. Gear and items can overcome this, but just keep it in mind.
@@kingcaesar3693 You can get by in the DLC by stacking stat boost items, and BBI items are so strong you'll be fine. It's just playing the entire game as STR and swapping to INT is going to go poorly.

@@godsplayingfield Yeah, I'll freely admit that I think I've only done two or three full playthroughs of the game, but the first time I played, and didn't understand the romance system either, I wound up with the witch girl (Selena I think? And I think the reason for that is that if memory serves, the ale is a decent healing potion, and my pawn on that playthrough wasn't a mage, so I was using items to compensate instead of having to entirely depend on other people's pawn builds as healers. Since then I've learned that gifting the Arisen Ring, and the duplicates you can make of it, are a fantastic way to avoid accidentally romancing the people you don't want though. Which is why I wound up with Mercedes on the second playthrough, and Madeline on the playthrough I dropped after killing Grigori on the Switch release of the game.
