@@POOPGOD999 Perfect way to describe it. They seem so alien, when they're actually an evolution of much more visually familiar crustaceans. Adaptation is fascinating, and the case of barnacles, pretty creepy as well.

Taste like mussles. Tried em at a tapas place, they're called Percebes. Got a bowl with a whole bunch of small ones for 12 euro. Fun to eat and decent taste, but I probably won't order it again unless I'm with someone else who's interested in trying it.

So is anybody else even a little troubled by these people dislodging mussels and then just tossing them? There’s a market for mussels. I love gooseneck barnacles. And by the way, they taste nothing like mussels as somebody commented here or like crab as the narrator suggests.. They call them “poor man’s lobster“ for a reason. But good God, people, let’s see some stewardship of the organisms you’re throwing away. And don’t give me any crap about “they won’t go to waste because something else will eat them.“ This video gets a hard thumbs down.

Will Anderson the shells are protection from predator, and yet human still can eat it because they have intelligence to break the shells, if god really doesnt want to eat it they can make it poisonous, but still with human intelligence like fugu fish that suppose to be poisonous, we can eat it, and im not god either, so i can judge what animals are inedible or edible, and after all it not really depends on god, but human intelligence
