Anyone who can analyze a movie this well - and - make a reference to a Bible story without being condescending or insulting definitely earned a like and subscribe...well done...and thanks for being respectful in your handling of things...speaks well of you.
What an amazing deep analysis! The way you connected the movie with biblical stories, with respect and wisdom...i'm speechless! Congratulations, such a deep and meaningfull analysis!
Coincidentally (or perhaps not) The Book of Enoch, as well as Hebrew and Christian Folklore ranks the "Sons of God" from Genesis as part of a group of angels/gods called "The Watchers."
Kind of reminds me of mother! in terms of the theme. Weird, but draws you in. There's more to horror than giving you jump scares. There's always underlying meanings to be dissected.
Alot of people get that you have to read between the lines with films try and figure stuff out but then there is cheese like this film. felt like I had seen most of before If you haven't seen "From" the tv show then watch it very similar feels like that show was ripped off I did figure some of the twist if you can call It that this film isn't that good.
Did no one notice how , she just randomly was sent with a parrot by a boss we never actually see , was he a fairy and sending her there, go back, check, his face is either blurred/out of focus or from his back , I think there's more to the boss that we don't get..
Would love to hear your take on MGM's From! I read some theories that link the story to The Watchers and found your video very compelling! I know it's an ongoing show, so you can't really analyze it with certainty, but it would be very interesting to hear what are your thoughts and theories about the plot.
That was beautiful. I liked the spoiler I noticed once the car radio glitches and shows runes. My biggest takeaway was the connection to the parrot being the reason random people survived the Watchers…
I love folk horror, especially when it’s based on ethnic European mythology/folklore. I live in America now, but was born and raised in Eastern Europe. I’m half Slav myself, and Slavic folklore is full of these fascinating old ancestral tales and myths. I’m glad you’ve brought up the Nephilim who were created by fallen angels (the watchers) and human women
Finally a real true semiotic analysis of this film. I really appreciate every bit of your insight and thank you so much for sharing it . I was wondering about the meaning of Watcher and gaze and voyeurism, also the Lacanian mirror and self realization. How about looking at the changeling and Mina’s twin as a Jungian archetypes ? The creatures as our shadow self? Looking within?
Thank you! So many titles for reviews just say it wasn’t good and didn’t make sense. I really liked it and had a big discussion about enslaving sovereign entities/ slavery too and it was upsetting not seeing people reading between the lines more. I thought it wrapped up well too
I agree with the phones, but truly they have made it abundantly clear cells can be drained easily, I see how much we've given up just to use technology, we don't see it. But being watched is what we give up
while it may be obvious to some, i think some just forget to think abt that possibility cause they’re so drawn into the story and the “wildness” that’s going on we just see them as human and are stuck wondering what the fairies are as we don’t truly know until near the end. loved this movie was so invested
People hate on Da Shyamelan name. Bes put some respect on dat man family 😂 I enjoyed it. The end left me confused but I went into this not knowing it was Shyamalan. Upon seeing the name at the end, everything clicked and I found understanding 😂
While watching it I also saw the connections to the bible. M night Shyamalan always has biblical undertones in his movies so his daughter doing the same makes sense. Some of us believe in the fae in the sense that they are similar to the nephilim so some people can take it as only fiction but these stories and lore all have to come from something...
I didn't see the twist, really. I'll admit that, but to say horror/fantasy when this movie leans more into a thriller is upsetting. Especially when the psychological part was very mute. So I'd say fantasy/thriller. Overall, i enjoyed the movie n hope to see her grow as a director.
Yes I Understand the narrative but it wasn't that great as showing that!!!! My hand down favorite M night shyamalan was" LADY IN THE WATER" like the narrative in the beginning was perfect, to me that movie deserves I second one!!!!!
Please read or listen to the book/audiobook. It’s a fiction written by a human being. I do NOT understand WHY people take these stories so seriously and try to get analytic about it. See it for what it is - a fictional story.
Eh? How do you know he doesn't have one?? What kind of imbecile would lose passion and direction for a girlfriend you weirdo? I used to critic films for a local magazine....my ex used to develop them-I do not get your point whatsoever.
Oh my world! This is what you have to say for someone who actually has a certain amount of knowledge and is kindly sharing it with you? If you want to stay ignorant, your choice but have some respect for someone who actually knows something! But of course 😆 what I am doing here is beating on a dead horse! 😆 it’s obvious who you are by this comment!

Ah thank you very much, that's very kind!
What an amazing deep analysis! The way you connected the movie with biblical stories, with respect and wisdom...i'm speechless! Congratulations, such a deep and meaningfull analysis!
Ah thank you so much!
I really liked this one, and your explanation was quite thorough.
Ah thank you!

I loved Mother! It was essentially just the Bible played out in a house. Should have been called The Audacity lol
You have the best breakdown of this movie on UA-cam. I really liked your biblical interpretation as well.
I'm new to your channel, but I absolutely love your videos!! I can't wait to watch your channel grow. You definitely deserve it😸
Ah that's very kind, thank you!
This is my new channel to binge. Amazing analysis and great voice to listen to. This channel deserves to blow up 💖
Ah too kind, thank you very much! :)
What a deep dive! Thank you for this!
Well done very much enjoyed the connection with the Fairy myth and that of the Watchers and Nephilim…
did anyone else immediately know that the old lady was a watcher
ong !!!! i said that
Just watched the film and then came here. Brilliant analysis. Thank you very much.
Ah thank you!

What a brilliant insightful segment, thank you 😊
Great video. Good tone and you don't talk too fast. Enough explanation, not too little and not too much. Very thorough. Thanks!
Thank you very much!
The twist when the Ciara's car pulls up in the driveway was great.
It’s it fair to say, the pet shop owner is a halfling? Why would he send Mina to that location?
Maybe 🤔
Oh yeah let me subscribe. I definitely will be needing you to breakdown the deeper meaning in movies. Hope you break down a quiet place part 3
Ah thank you! Yes planning to release a video about all 3 Quiet Place films on Friday :)
I thought fae were tiny one feet tall how can they mate with humans
That was such a brilliant analysis. 👏👏
Ah thank you!

I loved the movie
Okay I’m very impressed with “The Watchers” but only with Dakota Fanning. she makes the film great!
That was beautiful. I liked the spoiler I noticed once the car radio glitches and shows runes. My biggest takeaway was the connection to the parrot being the reason random people survived the Watchers…
Ah thank you! And that's really interesting!
Your channel is great. Your knowledge is vaste. Thank you.
Ah that's very kind, thank you!
The fae could also walk in the daylight until they were cursed and banished to the forest.

Ah thank you! That's fascinating, I'll have to look into that :) been meaning to read more Jung
Extremely helpful! Thanks!
I love when someone goes deep in the lore. Great work. The archangel Micheal chained up the watchers.
Exactly the analysis I was looking and hoping for! ❤
Ah thank you!
Thank you! So many titles for reviews just say it wasn’t good and didn’t make sense. I really liked it and had a big discussion about enslaving sovereign entities/ slavery too and it was upsetting not seeing people reading between the lines more. I thought it wrapped up well too
finally a real person explaining it
I agree with the phones, but truly they have made it abundantly clear cells can be drained easily, I see how much we've given up just to use technology, we don't see it. But being watched is what we give up
I’ve been thinking were Daniel and Ciara watchers too? Please someone tell me.
Very good! Subscribed!
Thank you!
I just realized she's the daughter of M. Night Shyamalan! I thought she had a familiar look to her!
This dude has to be related to Jeremy Wade. Amazing storytelling
Mina and Lucy? I guess her parents were Dracula fans
How are they a “higher” level of creation and they can’t leave the forest?
An unnatural bastardized insult of creation, thus the only way to contain them is to shackle them to an area.
I wouldn't even say it's a horror movie at all!!!!
Loved this movie. It was not too surprising that Madeline was a halfling; she looked very obviously fae.
while it may be obvious to some, i think some just forget to think abt that possibility cause they’re so drawn into the story and the “wildness” that’s going on we just see them as human and are stuck wondering what the fairies are as we don’t truly know until near the end. loved this movie was so invested
Fun fact: in the apocryphal book of Enoch these angels are called watchers
People hate on Da Shyamelan name. Bes put some respect on dat man family 😂
I enjoyed it. The end left me confused but I went into this not knowing it was Shyamalan. Upon seeing the name at the end, everything clicked and I found understanding 😂
I was surprised how much I liked this. All I heard about it was negative. But it wasn’t bad at all.
That's a good point! Yes, I believe that there is an ultimate story which we are inhabiting and our storytelling reflects something of that :)
The original Watchers from the 1970s would be a far better movie to look at.
I didn't see the twist, really. I'll admit that, but to say horror/fantasy when this movie leans more into a thriller is upsetting.
Especially when the psychological part was very mute. So I'd say fantasy/thriller.
Overall, i enjoyed the movie n hope to see her grow as a director.
i thought madeline was the professors daughter and he had a baby with the one in the cage, because you had to be a halfling to daywalk
Yea I was ok with the scary part but ultimately it was a different take on the mythology of fairy's!!!
Interesting you went so hard and full on with the religious stuff but still sorta good
WHAT !? Somebody might owe Marvel Comics a check ! 😆
Great biblical based movie. ❤
I liked this movie.
I really liked this movie
Yes I Understand the narrative but it wasn't that great as showing that!!!! My hand down favorite M night shyamalan was" LADY IN THE WATER" like the narrative in the beginning was perfect, to me that movie deserves I second one!!!!!
i RENTED IT FOR A BUCK, NOT BAD FOR A BUCK!
👍
Lower orders of creation… Ever heard of evolution?
Wow❤
Please read or listen to the book/audiobook. It’s a fiction written by a human being. I do NOT understand WHY people take these stories so seriously and try to get analytic about it. See it for what it is - a fictional story.
Eh? Of course its fiction!! Fairies don't exist lolol
You only take real stories seriously? 😂 all the history of fictional writing and creativity ignored? 😂 That was something!😂
Bible is fictional but people based their entire lives on biblical teachings.
So is it better or worse than the book? Usually movies are better because they sharpen the script and have a fuller medium beyond words.
@@Passionatelycurious91the Bible is not fictional not because you believe so the Bible is historical.
Soooooo WTF IS THE MOVIE ABOUT?????????
The movie was horrible like all M Knight Shymalan (shitty) movies tries to tie it up but at the end it’s bunch of bollocks.
Such a waste of time. Nothing to see here.
Thomas? Find yourself a girlfriend, my brother.
Eh? How do you know he doesn't have one?? What kind of imbecile would lose passion and direction for a girlfriend you weirdo? I used to critic films for a local magazine....my ex used to develop them-I do not get your point whatsoever.

Yeah, he’s an idiot for that comment
Had to double check that I wasn’t watching the video on 0.5 speed.
The watchers the ones who created the nephilim
