season 6 episode 13 “Legacy” recap:
The episode starts with Trig & Alonzo at his bail hearing, Jake posted his bail, we know he slinging clothes but where he get this amount of cash from, so the judge released him on house arrest.
Then back at the Doctors office with Keyshia and baby Ronnie. Keyshia learns that he has sickle cell disease. She immediately freaks out as any normal mother or parent would, assuming it’s an automatic death sentence. But do ya research and gather your information people, you will be extremely challenged at points but with the necessary precautions (meaning take proper care of yourself, I know we hate that but it’s important) you can live a long life with sickle cell. The doctor informs Keyshia that it is imperative to get the father’s medical history.
As we turn to Douda on the morning of his birthday, Bianca surprises him in some nice & nasty lingerie. But he turns her down, saying he’s stressed and wants to be alone. Now is this stress over the death note 🗒️,or is this an after effect of Tiff telling Douda that their relationship is just transactional? What y’all think ? Happy birthday Douda!
Guess who’s bizzack, with her 1st appearance this season Roselyn” , Douda’s openly fluent wife. As she Strolls into Smokey’s to scope the scene (Smokey’s is a front that they use to laundry money) she meets Emmit’s brother Darius and has a conversation with Emmit about sprucing the place up to boost business. But proceed, she mingles with the employees, Dom aka LaLa, I thought we was rid of her but unfortunately we not. 🤦🏽♂️ but good to see my boy Vic Mensa aka Jamal back in the mix. As Roselyn is casing the place offering suggestions and shit, she takes a liking to Dom’s cousin, Serena, weird looking deaf chick, not weird cause she’s deaf but just weird looking , I’m not mad at the blue hair but I’m good on the studs…
Then Bakari goes to visit Professor Gardner to show him his progress, where the professor gifts him a laptop 💻 to work with. As he tries to show Bakari he has bigger options, the key 🔑 to this whole scene is the sentiment given with the gift
“Always listens to you, and remembers everything you said, protect it with your life!”
Dear Bakari , did you hear & comprehend the message?
Meanwhile Douda pays Trig a visit to make sure he didn’t snitch. As predicted earlier we find out here, that Douda is indeed the one who gave Jake the money to bail out Trig. But of course he did if he don’t want you to snitch. At this point unless Douda gets killed, snitching may be his only option.
Keyshia returns to the doctors office, where duh duh duh we find out that, the rapist bul is not Ronnie’s father, You are NOT the father, what a plot twist, hence the title of this episode “Legacy”. Keyshia is befuddled, how, who, what. As the doctor responds both parents have to have the sickle cell gene 🧬 in order for it to pass to the child. So the question is, Who is daddy? Let’s see it’s not the rapist bul, it’s not Emmit, hold on wait a minute
The whole delinquent crew is together, as Nuck proposes a toast to Douda, saying
“To the man that runs Chicago and keeps money in our pockets “
In the shadows you can hear someone mumble, “Yea, and he keeps a foot on our necks”
Now why Bakari, Why !!!!! Even tho it’s true, even if you felt that way, why would you say it 🤦🏽♂️ and remember the message earlier, protect it with your life, why would you have your laptop 💻 with and out around Douda,
As Douda takes it and smashes it on the floor.
Now you gotta kill em my nigga, you have to, sorry 🤷🏽♂️
That was just dumb……
Back at the crib , Alonzo lets Trig know, the only offer on the table is snitch on Douda and they’ll give you protection and you can keep your job. Trig says no, I’m not snitching….. Alonzo says, well then you’re going to jail, tough situation, are y’all snitching???
The whole scene with Alicia, Shaad & Alonzo was toxicity at its finest. Not that was Alonzo’s jacket, that’s hilarious, not she flirting, kissing on bul right in front of Shaad like he was there, and def not saying you can never be him after playing in my face.
I’m not for domestic violence but if ever a time, I don’t know.
As Shaad grips her up and pushes her against the wall, awe she likes that shit, she’s turned on by the aggression, nope toxic, aggression if used correctly can be good if managed right, but nope not what we just saw, that’s dangerous ‼️
Then we have the most important sequence of the episode, when Keyshia tells Emmit that Nuck is the father….. boy oh boy, it’s smoke 💨 in the city. This will test Emmit & Keyshia bond like never before, even tho Emmit is already on one which is hugely hypocritical , like he wasn’t buying Tiff cars and shit. Yet and still I was with Emmit cause why Nuck give Keyshia a gift, will Keyshia get caught up in familyI’m over them as a couple.

Angelia before my niece passed she had 30 different traits of sickle cells and it was due to my brother being a carrier.
1. I'm sick of Douda.
2.I hate Leon was killed off so early.
3. Trig being foolish
4. Papa is heading for trouble
5. I knew that young Pfeacher was involved in something shady but didn't know it was with Douda
I thought both
Technically both parents have to carry the trait in order for the child to have it.
