In todays video i was really surprised at how much i loved the way this piece turned out. Especially the paint color and finish. Has to be in my top 5 of all the pieces I’ve done so far. I hope you enjoy the process as much as i did.

A good decreaser is best. There's oils, sticky wax in the wood grains. The best I found is to use a scrubby or nylon brush to clean the grains really well. Also a tooth brush or small brush in those corners & rims work awesome!. Simple green, krud cutter, or zep works great. Then rinse. To assure a fantastic bond with your paint. But the best is to coat the wood with shellac. That way it's much easier to restrip down the road. The paint won't be ingrained in the wood fibers

Such a gorgeous transformation my friend...and yes Dixie Belle silk anchor is the Only Black I use....such a beautiful finish especially with a natural wood or Washed top Look...for the White I use Dixie Belle Silk In Whitecap ..it's a beautiful white with same finish...You're amazing Samuel 🥰👍

I was impressed,😮 beautiful work👏👏❤❤ I'm not a fan of black furniture but this is unique, one question, with that paint, don't you have to seal the last coat of paint?

I love the contrast in colour. Very nice. However I obviously have OCD tendencies. The problem with dark colours is that if there is a ding or a chip in the wood of whatever your painting, it has a tendency to stand out a lot. All I saw were all the dings you didn’t repair. 🤷♀️

Love this. Love that color and finish. Is that the first time you've used the Dixie Bell Silk? I love the mat black. Wondering what a small, very small infusion of a dark blue would do... maybe want just a tiny hint of blue.

Sort of a dumb question here: when you are in between coats do you just let it sit in your gun? Does it gum it up? Do you clean it after every coat?
Not at all a dumb question. I do leave the material after every cost but if it’s going to be a long while before my next coat I will clean it out
Another beautiful piece well done. Can I ask when you apply big mamma’s butta do you just apply it and leave it or do you have to buff it with a cloth?
