Mike and I used to have conversations about Chinese knockoffs yrs back, when I 1st started my you tube channel. Such an all around friendly, genuine man, I wish I had checked into his channel for the last year but unfortunately I've been so busy and haven't really been on you tube. I'm absolutely crushed, Rest Easy my friend 🙏
Such a great loss of a genuinely nice bloke, watched his videos for years.

Re, the Chibsons. Thought of an easier way to 'unfake' them, just glue on another layer of veneer on the headstock. Cheap and 'easy'
Could the veneer be as easily pulled off buddy?
@@CGS2.0 Not as easy as paint. And if it looks nice, they'd be no reason to do it. Plus it's very easy to stamp fake in the pickup and control cavities, so maybe no need to change the headstock. Fender do it with their custom shop guitars

Just for accuracy, the HB Travel Mahogany you have listed as the semi is actually just the acoustic model. Retails £95, not £119.

Mike had a fake chinese martin like acoustic, I didn't see it on the spreadsheet but may have over looked it, is it for sale?
Yes it is buddy, it's the 'Milton' acoustic so it's not named as a Marlin.
As soon as you have the info for on the cost of international shipping, please update us. I'm in the US and there are several of the lesser priced instruments that I'd be interested in, but it wouldn't make sense to buy let's say a $200 guitar and have $150 shipping. Know what I mean?

Hey Andy. Has anyone tried to reach out to Phil X to see if he'd like to help out regarding the sale of the XG? Perhaps I'm being a bit naive here thinking someone as busy as Phil would even have the time, but I know Lance and Phil have spent some time together in the past. It's not like he's a complete stranger. Besides that, I think it's for a good cause (helping Lance's family) and feel as though Phil would at least want to know. If I'm completely nuts, however, feel free to say so! 😅

I think you're doing a fantastic job! I hope his management responds, but if they don't, at least you have the video Lance made of Phil playing this guitar. I do hope it helps.

I think the main issue here wouldn't be reaching Phil, but that Phil no longer is a Framus artist and has moved to Gibson whom most likely won't let him endorse another brand.
