Hello Phill. I really like the video that you filmed at circular quay and one of my favourite places there is the train station and Sydney harbour bridge. I hope you have a great time there
Interesting video. I like the red livery on the front (or back) of some of the trains. I remember as a young child seeing Circular Quay station just after it was opened. All single deck red trains there back in those days.
Not me getting extreme nostalgia hearing that sound in the intro- That's the sound they'd always play before a movie starting at the ANZAC cinema in New Zealand 😭
I was at circular quay the other day, and one b set carriage had the doors out of order sticker printed, so I’m guessing these trains haven’t been tested properly!
no sometimes they put the stickers on if a particular door has technical problems and doesn't work properly, I sometimes see those stickers on a particular door on a b set carriage, it's usually just 1 door that has mechanical issues
Tangaras usually only run on the T1 and T4 lines only. I think it's easier to have the same types of trains running on the same line. Maintenance is easier. T1 only goes past Wynyard/Town Hall, and T4 only goes to Town Hall and Martin Place
GamingJamesGames Tangaras only use the T1 and T4 lines, neither of which run the entire City Circle. That’s why you’ll mostly see, if not only see, Millenniums and Waratahs. Though, Tangaras did run City Circle before the Waratah A sets got introduced.
It’s like the millenniums have a crush on the tangara’s because it wants to be just like them so they try do the chopper noise like the tangara’s do but there not very good at it so the chopper noise that the millenniums make is out of key haha
@@alis1637 thats not the chopper that you're hearing, those are just the traction motors that you hear that is at the same pitch as the horn. The chopper is what almost sounds like a combustion engine, the sound coming from the train's bogies. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Specifically 1964. Sydney recieved their first Tulloch Limited double decker trains (red paint outside, green paint inside). They recieved 40 cars in the first release and they had manual opening doors.
Hi, sorry if this is a silly question, but I thought Circular Quay might be a good place to see a K set in Dec 2019, but struggled to find one last weekend. Is there anywhere I can take my boy that has a good chance of getting on one please? I gather there's still some around? Thank you!
Circular Quay Is The T2 Inner West via Leppington or Straithfield via Homebush. T3 Bankstown Via Lidcombe or Liverpool And T8 Airport Via Revesby or Macarthur. T1 T4 T5 T6 T7 T9 Trains Do Not Operate At Circular Quay
Gregory Degherkins it is because of the low population and demand. Countries like Japan have the Shinkansen for extreme population and INTERCITY services. If we had the same population, we’d be as fast!
LOL LOL LOL . IF PEOPLE ON THE TRAIN GOT THE HEAD PHONES WHY DO WE NEED ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR JUST WRITE IT ON THE ELECTRONIC BOARD AND TELL HIM TO SHUT UP. AND THE DISPLAY OF NEXT TRAIN DEPARTURE , HAVE BE BE DISPLAYED UNTIL THE TRAIN DEPART FROM THE PLATFORM, YOU ARE CONFUSING HUMANITY.
I love the sight of the bridge and Opera House as you pull into the station. I say „ I’m Home“ every time

Beautiful train station. I can see Opera House reflection on the train's window. Awesome vlog 👍🏻😊

Nice variety of trains there. Good video :)
I miss this station from Japan

Question, what happen to the T Sets/Tangaras. Why don’t they go to Circular Quay anymore?
Tangaras usually only run on the T1 and T4 lines only. I think it's easier to have the same types of trains running on the same line. Maintenance is easier. T1 only goes past Wynyard/Town Hall, and T4 only goes to Town Hall and Martin Place

hello can you please tell the height of the platform. i need the information for academic purpose
It’s like the millenniums have a crush on the tangara’s because it wants to be just like them so they try do the chopper noise like the tangara’s do but there not very good at it so the chopper noise that the millenniums make is out of key haha
Interesting. Also the C set chopper noise is the same note as its horn.

I was at Central today, for a few hours, yet NO S/K/C SETS
Sydney Trains Silver Sets They usually operate in peak hours. Sector 2 is mostly run by Waratah A and B sets, and Millennium M sets.
Nichole The Otter correct.
The M sets really need a quick refurb and repaint on the outside
I think they seem fine (says a person from Brisbane!)
Won't it be cool, if Waratah and tanga ra trains serviced the Lithgow line?
They really do.

I have a request can you please do a vlog at Bondi Junction
Hi, sorry if this is a silly question, but I thought Circular Quay might be a good place to see a K set in Dec 2019, but struggled to find one last weekend. Is there anywhere I can take my boy that has a good chance of getting on one please? I gather there's still some around? Thank you!
Perhaps you should try either Bankstown, Sydenham, Wolli Creek or Lidcombe. Those are lines that feature K-Sets.
Maybe even Lidcombe/Liverpool. I’m just suggesting btw.
I'm a bit late for this but the K sets only run Monday to Friday only during the peak times. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the replies, very greatly appreciated :)
@@belandaaron Yep, they don't run on weekends
Not a tangara in sight. how come they dont use tangaras here? i only see them on T1/T9, T4 line

Hey Phil has any more S sets as been withdrawn from service yet. Lots of M sets playing Waratah and great video
What do you mean by "M sets playing Waratah?"
I mean if your job isn't paying good enough why not go find one that does?
