Totally agree with you about wide-leg style, for me they need to fit snug on waist, bum and hips and be a slim/wide in the legs. I found such a fit with Levi’s Ribcage fit. I would say straight fit jeans that hug your curves, mid to high rise look the best on you, flatter and show off your feminine shape nicely.
In my collection I have a lot of Levis: Ribcage, Wedgie straight and 501 Original straight fit. The 501s are my favorite and most versatile. Also have a couple of pairs of Gap sky high cheeky straight, which flatter me so well. Also have Sezane Sexy Brut and Everlane 90s Cheeky. I have short to average torso, long legs in comparison to torso and an 11” difference between waist and hips. Finding jeans that don’t gap at waist or bag at the abdomen, yet fit my hips is a challenge.
Wow you sound just like me! I really appreciate the feedback regarding these brands and models you’ve tried! I have a 501 Levi’s and like them! Never tried Gap jeans, but I’ve been planning to go to the store and see in person. I’m curious about Brut Sexy fitting you though, they’re not great on me (I have the pink and tried other 3 washes) none worked well 🙈 I’m surprised you have an 11” gap between waist and hips are they fit you well! Everlane I’d say the same, the pairs I tried, I didn’t like one me…but I should have insisted and tried others. It’s tiring to look for jeans! 🤣

Thank you Rosy! I actually tried 8 pairs of jeans from Madewell 😭 I didn’t share a video/review because none of them looked good. I didn’t give up though, I will go to the store eventually, so I can try on other styles and figure out my size too! I heard great things about the brand :)
The Aritzia mid rise relaxed style fit me. But generally if you want a slim or even straight fit they don’t accommodate any curves. The NYDJ brand has super stretchy high quality jeans, but only in a mid or lower rise from what I understand. But maybe they also offer high rise now. Give them a try!
I honestly would love to get a pair that’s 100% cotton without elastane and that fit me right away. I have never absolutely never found a jeans like this, so I’m inclined to look for something with elastane every time.

I have a 12" difference between my hips and my waist, normally jeans are made with 10" difference but I bought my first pair of Abercrombie Curve Love jeans i n February and I love them so much! Their so comfortable and to be honest it felt mindblowing putting on a pair of jeans that fit just like that! I got the 90's relaxed fit and on the site where I bought them it was recommended to size down, that's probably why they were so big on you. I'm very tall so I like the wide leg look for me :) but I also want a skinny pair in ecru or beige for spring. I agree with you, the skinny looks very flattering on curves and you look amazing in the first pair!
It’s amazing when we find the right pair, isn’t it?! So nice that you love Abercrombie too. I’m completely in love with their jeans - I recently got the ultra high waist (curve love) in ankle length. It’s PERFECT and my new favorite style, I have it in 4 washes now and I don’t wear any other style anymore haha I think the 90’s didn’t work for the reason you mentioned (I’m 5’5”), and my thighs are actually not proportionally my hips - i needed thicker thighs to fill the pants in 😂 gives me a weird fit! I love straight and wide leg but normally with soft/malleable fabrics, for jeans, unfortunately it doesn’t work with my proportions

I'm happy you found your perfect pair 🥰 I saw in the video that the 90s relaxed looked baggy on you, on me (mine is in a darker blue denim) they look slightly flared and I just have a bit of breathing room between the fabric and my skin all the way down. So it still looks very classic.

I like the wash and fit of the first pair of skinny jeans on you. Also the last 2 pairs looks great on you too, the wash and the cut, but not ultra high rise though. Finding a good pair of jeans is like mission impossible. Sometimes they fit first, but later on stretched out too much. Sometimes looks great when standing, but hurts so much when sitting down. Have you heard about Good American jeans? I heard they are design for curvy bodies too. Also, madewell has varieties of curvy jeans. Hope you find your dream ones soon.

Actually, Mila, I think that is what belts are for. Also because jeans that are tight are not comfortable, especially not when sitting down. In my opinion. I don't like to buy jeans/pants on the internet and unfortunately we don't have Ambercrombie where I live.

I decided to keep 2 pants from this haul - they fit perfectly straight out of the box and that’s something I don’t experience often with jeans.
Belts are a beautiful and functional accessory, but I don’t rely on them to make a garment work (unless I don’t have a choice 😅). If the pants fit me well on the hips but not on my waist, I’d rather return and just look for something else (even if that takes ages lol )
When pants are great on my hips and lose on waist, even with a belt, I can still feel the bulkiness and excess fabric, it looks unflattering.
I just got a pair of silk pants actually and they’re a bit loose on me (but the style is loose everywhere) so the belt comes super handy and keeps the pants on 🤣
