Driver is so calm haha. And Jason looks like such a nice engine to drive, injectors that pick up almost instantly, and very powerful!! Keep up the good work.

Please can you do more of this, especially in some tender engines as well, like offa, sapper and pioneer. Would love to see it, when the railway opens again.

Do all of the engines on the MVR have a brake air/vacuum. Or do some have just a handbrake

Does anybody know what the little wheel was that he kept twisting on the right hand side of the cab 8:42

That is the engines hand brake.

Moors Valley Railway if you watch it through from 8:35 , he stops Jason using the vacuum brake, then he uses the handbrake and puts the reverser forward. Then he opens what i think is the cylinder drain cocks??, and then he turns a little wheel just to the right of his cloth and moves a little lever on the bottom right corner of the cab

@@bradf2803 What you are referring to is the injector that is used to get water into the boiler. Initially you have to open the water valve and then add the steam to allow the injector to work and start putting water in the boiler.

@Moors Valley Railway is the water valve the wheel, and you add steam into it by using that lever to force water through to the boiler using its own steam. The water gauge is the 2 glass pipes either side of the firebox isn’t it. When the water level is low on them is that when you use the injector to then add water to the boiler.

@@bradf2803 the other way around when it comes to the steam and water feeds. Steam is the valve operated by the wheel and the water by the smaller lever at the side of the cab. You are correct the water level is show in the gauge glasses either side of the firebox door, when this level is low you use the injector to put water in the boiler reducing the boiler pressure at the same time.
