They did the same with the hard of hearing/deaf Daphne character from Switched at Birth. She doesn’t sound like a “deaf” person would when they speak because she only started losing her hearing in recent years. So she’s still able to talk regularly but the show needed her to sound more deaf. If that makes sense y’all sorry that’s a lot 😅😅
