- Kirby Allison, Founder of Hanger Project, had the opportunity to visit Huntsman's cutting room in New York. It is the first cutting room to be opened by a Savile Row tailor outside of London. Ed Turco takes us through the cutting room and talks to us about their signature tweed style.
H. Huntsman & Sons is a high-end fashion house and tailor located at No. 11 Savile Row, London. It is known for its English bespoke menswear tailoring, cashmere ready-to-wear collections, and leather accessories.

That guy was great, he really knows his industry.
Those lapels are not wrinkled, it’s the glue that keeps the two parts of the lapel together which is loosening. This usually happens when the suit gets wet. This has got nothing to do with taste or style, it’s a sign of a cheap suit.
With the 9th annual Los Angeles tweed pub crawl soon upon us... this is an appropriate subject.

Hi from the uk. I have a Magee jacket made from Irish tweed and a Harris Tweed made from Scottish Tweed. Both great jackets.

Thanks Kirby, great history on tweeds, I did not know until know how and where the material originated from. In your experience could these tweeds be worn in our lovely hot muggy Houston weather?
I know I’m late to the party, a lot of people in the comments are saying that the gentleman’s suit is a cheap fused ready to wear suit. At first it seemed to be to be the case, however zooming in it seems to be made of seersucker which is very wrinkly in itself. I may be wrong but either way I recommend looking up seersucker as it is a fascinating cloth.
Informative video, thank you. The calendar may say October but it is still too warm to wear traditional tweed in the NYC area. I will have to look into the lighter weight tweeds.

This guy know way more suit stuff than i do, but his suit fit awfully: the shoulder canvas looks like a rock and the lapel wrinkles... Not a good image for his brand.

Hi Kirby I have a question/possible topic you could discuss. I was wondering whether different house styles lead themselves to different fabrics and colours better than others. I have a local tailor from Sicily who id love to try but I'm not sure whether the cut would suit every style of fabric when trying to keep a modern look.

Hi Kirby! I was wondering how you take care of your hair. Why you use for example what looks like a gel instead of a softer pommade or lighter wax for a more natural look?
Yoda I use a cream pomade. Something soft that easily washes out without shampoo.

It depends what you are looking for. Negatives: Their last elongates the foot and is quite pointy.
Positives: leather is wonderful and supple. Very comfortable.

That suit does not fit that guy well.
Looks awful, did you notice the lapels? Not great advertising.
That's subjective. I do believe that the suit is very interesting but not something I'd wear myself.

The lapels are one part, but the fabric is floating way above his shoulders, making a weird neck crease.

His suit looks and fits awful not because he cannot afford a bespoke suit, but because he saves the company's budget to be able offering you all (and me too) affordable prices for their suits! Or he is demostrating that it doesn't matter to him what we think about him 😆😆😆
