    Love big fields! In the U.S. I’m in western Kansas/eastern Colorado we maybe get 1000 acres in one field. Looks like you have 10x that

    I can understand the need for a shop but what is the reason for a fuel shed as never heard of one before in a farming operation .

    • @BenCrosthwaite1
      @BenCrosthwaite1  10 місяців тому

      We call a shed where repair and construct things a workshop. The reason being protection against the hot Sun and wind.
      I’ll find out about the fuel shed.

    What settings do you use for canola as apposed to the milo and soybeans grown over here? Thanks, Thomas, Mississippi, USA!!!

      Hi Thomas, its years since I had anything to do with setting headers up. I’m just the bloke taking pictures.
      Cheers Ben.

    What's the average rainfall per season is this area? I suspect catching or missing a good rain would have a huge impact on the crop?

    • @BenCrosthwaite1
      @BenCrosthwaite1  11 місяців тому +2

      The average annual rainfall for Mullewa is 315mm most of it falling in the winter.
      Farmers in these areas are able to achieve good crops on 158mm in the growing season

      On those canola crops if they had another 25 mm (1 inch) of rain just after podding there yield would have doubled
