I don't know if 2025 can top 2024 for me, but I am excited for the upcoming year for sure. Especially now that I have found this pizza place. Wow it was so good.
I absolutely am. There is so much amazing food here. I'm blessed to be able to just walk down the street and find so many different things to yey any time I want.
I would have loved to add some footage of the oven myself. The thing is that they were very busy and the last thing I would ever want to do is intrude and get in the way. The next time I go I will ask to see the oven and get footage. Weekdays are not as busy for them, but a Sunday evening was really busy. When I left there were 20 people in line for a table.
Thanks for the review, Sean. I made/delivered pizza in the U.S. for over 9 years, and I appreciate a good pie. Time to head out the door and find this place. Yum!
Good pizza here is hard to find. This may not be a perfect pizza, but it's the best I've had here yet. I love that it is all fresh ingredients and real cheese. Even back home there are many places that serve cheese that is closer to plastic than milk. Haha
So many questions for you. But I’ll temper them and go with one for now. Off video topic, have you been in Siem during burning season? How bad is it ? I’m a fan of what you’re doing.
I was here during burning season a bit last year. When I first came over the air quality was horrible in Bangkok and everyone said that it was because of the burning here in Cambodia. While on my way by bus, I saw a ton of burning in Thailand and the air was rough, but once I got here it wasn't nearly as bad. They do burn, and there is a haze in the air but it was never as bad as in Bangkok. There is a smell of wood smoke in the air for a while but it was never too bad.
One of the main reasons I had to leave Thailand was because of the air quality. I have bad allergies and it was horrible from December on there. I was miserable.
to find real pizza place in se-asia are rare, most of them are sweet as heck and with frigging ketchup on. I will check this out next time i pop over to my neighbor Cambodja =)
I was completely taken aback that it had real cheese and tomatoes on it. I'm not a fan of the sweet sauce that I normally find on pizza, so this one wins on that alone. Add real cheese and nice toppings and it was a grand slam winner in my books.
Today I had a chili hot dog for first time at my local restaurant here in Thailand, They have a large farang menu. Unfortunately it was not good. Your typical Thai processed dog and canned chili con carne, but the bread was like rubber; I chewed and chewed on it. I am typically not critical of attempts to cook foreign food, but I think this bread roll was freezed and thawed quickly in a microwave.
Ooh. That's so sad. A chili dog is one of my favorite things and the bun is so important. That sucks. I guess it must feel the same when a person here is in America and they have a pad Thai that makes their ancestors cry. Haha
Welcome to Cambodia sir .🇰🇭🙏🥰 U still in Cambodia right now? I want to tell u about a big event (សាទរកម្ពុជា-Celebrating Cambodian ) in Phnom Penh at the garden of the royal palace on 31 December 2024 . If u stay here I hope to see u at there. Thank u ( Ohkun ) 🥰🙏
I understand that the celebration in Phnom Penh is very good on the 31st. I'm staying in Siem Reap this year to enjoy the festivities here. I may try in Phnom Penh next year. Cambodia is my home now, so I have a lot of opportunities to see events like this in the future. Thank you for sharing.
So you’re in Cambodia, enjoying life, it’s awesome. Question about real life. You get a routine check up, then some tests and cancer is found. You need surgery and chemo, what do you do ?
Man. That's a loaded question. Handling news like that affects everyone differently. I know right off I would start listening to Beethoven's 5th. Apparently it reduces cancer by 20% by listening to it. Even if it doesn't work, I would enjoy the music and the calm that it would give me. As for the rest of what would need to be done, I would have to decide on a path that would work for me. I have already had to face cancer almost 20 years ago and I was shocked by my reaction at the time. I thought I would be freaking out, but an odd calm came over me and I processed it all in a positive way for myself.
@alanpepper7250 I understand wanting to plan for what ifs. I did a bunch before I left. I also realized that it was just wasted energy. I never went into the medical side of the thoughts but I did a bunch of travel ones. Haha. Nothing here is anything like what I was imagining. Good luck on your plans and I hope that you stay healthy and spend decades here enjoying your new life.
Oh well. Good thing I was already there before haha. I will say that the single best pizza I ever had in life was in Florence. This one doesn't compare, but for finding a place in the middle of Cambodia that serves a decent pizza, I'm very happy.
It’s a stringy and tasty video… Wish you great success, best of luck and lots of happiness in the next year…

Sean, Look like you live a very good life in Cambodia with all those good food.

Yummy yum yum… Happy Healthy Healing New Year..
Very yummy. Haha. Happy new year to you as well.
It would have been nice to see the oven set up.

I agree. One of those dishes would be worth the trip back. I loved all of it. Happy new year to you as well.
Very yummy Khmer food… or adapted … Happy New Year 🎆🎈🎊 stay healthy… get wealthy…
They adapted it very well, but next time I'll try a different pizza. Happy new year to you and I hope for prosperity, health and happiness for you.
Your video watching make me feeling smile 😊 ❤❤😊
You comments make me smile, so that works for both of us. Haha
@ Haha 😆 Thanks 😊
Pineapple and corn on a pizza? Yikes… happiness come in different forms… Wish you luck and most prosperous next year 👍👏🙏🎈❤️🎉
Corn was a new one for me, but it was mostly just texture for me and added a nice crunch. I thought it would be weird but I enjoyed it. Haha.
That pizza looks really yummy 😋 😂
It was way better than I expected and I'm so happy that I went out and tried it last night. I can't wait to go back.

@ Good to know. That’s the factor that keeps me from considering Chiang Mai. I’m really digging Siem and Cambodia.

Can please give the location of that pizza place in the future and what time the open and close.
I put a link to them in the description. They open at 430pm until 11pm according to google. Here is the link maps.app.goo.gl/AUfe2h5gnHZCU7ocA
@@FrugalWanderer I saw on the map but I can't tell what street it is on. Is Tuk tuk on the Siem Reap river? Thank you Sean
It's not on the river. It's a few streets away. Its directly behind the museum. The street it's in goes right into downtown Siem reap
@@FrugalWanderer Thank you Sean. You have a good day. Bless you.

@ thanks for your response. I ask because I am working to join your ranks in a few years and think ahead for reasonable what ifs.

Is that Khmer pizza? Or is it yours?
Nice play on words there. Haha.
"I ordered a Hawaiian pizza" ... subs drop by 30% 🤣🤣
People need to learn that pineapple is not the enemy of pizza. Especially the pineapple here. It's so crunchy and sweet. I love it.
Okay so the title sucked me in 😀😀
Yay it worked. Haha. At least it was factual.
Just saw it on the news. You are banned from Italy
Lol
