Cheap Clothes for American Girl Dolls from Walmart

- While on vacation, I shopped at Walmart and picked up some outfits for my dolls and in this video, I unbox them and try them on my dolls. The total cost was $19.50 plus tax. I also unbox the Real Littles clutch purse that I will use with my American Girl Doll Disney Princess Tiana.

Your #4 is perfect. They had very light coloring. I have two #4 dolls and they look just like yours. I love the MY LIFE AS clothes. The price is right and they are very cute!

Hi Hon! We just got back from the Oregon coast. I hope you had fun on your trip. I didn't find much doll stuff this time. Still looking for a cute curio cabinet like yours! You might try a drop of Fray Check on the inside of your little garments. It should keep the fabric from running.

I don’t have a #4, but comparing them to other collectors, your #4 definitely is a bit more yellow in my opinion. You can’t beat $10 for an 18 inch doll outfit, so great find! Bonus!

I don't buy Walmart My Life doll clothing. The fabric is too cheap and too thin. I do buy some of the accessories like the Hello Kitty ones they had around Christmas time. I bought it for the shoes and other items (I'd have to look to see what else is in them. Two different sets). I went back about 1 week later to buy the second set that had the shoes but someone else had purchased it already. That set had red sparkly shoes with a Hello Kitty button on each. I wanted the second set so I could remove the buttons and use them on something else like a sweater. Four Hello Kitty buttons - how cute would that be ? I used to buy Our Generation - Target - doll items but even their clothing is cheaply made now. Again, I have many of the accessory items. All shoes are mostly thick plastic and I don't like them (the red sparkly pair are vinyl). P.S. I sew so making items like skirts, t-shirts, and leggings cost much less than My Life or OG outfits. Cost 50 cents to $1 for the material (or less), minus the labor.
You make some good points about the my life clothing and our generation clothing. I would agree, but I’ll get it if it’s on sale because I have little kids that come over and want to play with my stuff and typically I give them my least favorite dolls, and the Walmart and our generation clothing. I couldn’t agree more about the Our Generation shoes because they are awful. Thick plastic and not very appealing and quite frankly, they’re very hard to put on the doll especially the boots. American Girl has some hard plastic shoes that I don’t like either. I wish they wouldn’t make them and I can’t imagine others like them either. That’s great that you can so when you make your own doll clothes! That’s a skill that I don’t have and I don’t plan on learning anytime soon. Maybe when I retire, I’ll have time to do that.🤩

I like the my life as accessories and sets. The clothes are cute but I never find a good selection of clothes when I make it to Walmart. My favorite outfits are the dress and he Pajamas. That is a nice idea for a craft box My life as has an 18 inch doll craft box for 9.99. I want the Princess and the frog bag I am going to check Target for that bag. I don't know anything about #4 but the older dolls the plastic tends to age and sometimes fade or discolor a little.
The price is right for MLA clothes and sets. I’m with you and really think that dress is cute along with the Carebear PJs. Coincidentally, I was at target over the weekend, and I saw several of the princess and the frog bags.. I can’t wait to unbox Tiana and do some scenes with a frog bought her and her little bag. 🥰

There are times that I have a love/hate relationship with the My Life As outfits. There are some that are REALLY great and some that just look so cheap that my dolls just won’t. I think that the worse part at times are the shoes for me. BONUS
Yes - the shoes are awful just like our generation plastic shoes, I hate them. lol
What are your dolls names
Most of my dolls do not have names. My collection of dolls as well over 100 and I think I would lose my mind trying to remember their names. However, I do have a few dolls with a distinct look, and I named them. For example, I have a doll named Vinny and he has a mustache, and appears in many of my videos. I hope you’re having a good day!
