Lata Mangeshkar was a big star and was in huge demand by every music director at the time. In the mix, Khaiyyam was shortchanged by her. Khaiyyam had many grievances with her because he lost out on many projects as Lata ji never gave him preference in-front of RD, SD, LP, SJ, SC and many others.
Khaiyyam begged her for this album. She gave him very limited time. Every song of this movie was recorded in one take. Imagine the perfection of Lata ji, Khaiyyam ji and the entire team.
