Good Morning Wolfgang. Thanks so much for that video tutorial! It was very helpful in that I'm currently working with surfaces. Also, I wanted to ask you if you could have possibly accomplished the same thing in Realize Shape? Do you think it might have been easier? I don't know and am trying to learn lots more as I go. Thanks again! Keep the tutorials coming - they are of great use for sure!!
In !realize shape! it would be easier to do, but sadly I don´t have the nx-licence for Realize Shape. Same in Catia with "Imagine and Shape" or any other sort of freestyle modelling. Depends on whether you are a designer or an engineer.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training hey thanks bro...and I'm interested to learn catia BIW design and class A design like door outer panels ,roof and hood...do you have any course or videos please share me....it will be helpful to utilise well this lockdown period

There is a video, if you would have used "sketchtracer" to search my channel you would have found it :ua-cam.com/video/nTh-qeDEskc/v-deo.html and I´ve mentioned that fact and the start of the video as well.
Hallo Wolfgang.
Irgendwie komisch.
Hi Wolfgang - Thanks for the excellent content and greetings from California, I have watched some of your videos and picked up a few tips on surface modeling. If you had to pick one of these excellent MCAE tools for your personal use which would opt for ? Also have you looked at ZW3D, its a Hybrid Modeler that has been around for a very long time, used to called VX and Varimetrix before it got renamed to ZW3D. Solidedge and Creo are similar, without the Machining capability off-course ;)
Sorry, I don´t use MCAE tools, I ´m just a trainer. my favourite CAD-Software at the moment - Siemens NX. I m aware of ZW3D but I ´m so busy, there is no time at all to try i.e. ZW3D.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Thanks for responding. I tried reading some NX docs and found that going from part design to CNC tool path generation was fairly complex. I do like NX and its parents too, Unigraphics and I-DEAS (which was always my favorite). If money was no object I would surely choose NX too.
Hello there, I don't know if you do this for a living, but this tutorial is wrong in my opinion. You cannot start designing a fender without seeing how are the surrounding surfaces. You need to build the overall shape and then you cut and get the fender panel.
Really? You think, that I don´t know that? It is an exercise, to show how some of the tools, you would need, work. By the way I´m neither an engineer nor a designer, just a trainer for CAD-software. I ´ve never pretended to be something else.
I was waiting for this tutorial from long time, thank you sir.
You´re welcome
perfect tutorial for my small fender on my bike!!!thanks Wolgang for sharing!!!!
