To be honest looking at the very long receipt and the amount of items he purchased to feed 8 people seemed actually cheap to me. I am single and when I go shopping at Vons, Ralphs, Grocery Outlet, and occasionally Gelsons or Trader Joes I'll spend $150 to $200 in total. Most of those items are 2 week items plus some items that will last much longer. Yes prices have gone up, we all have seen this but to post on TikTok then local news picks this up for a family of 8 makes absolutely no sense to me but we live in California so that shouldn't be too much of a shock! (As a side note I was in Gelsons the other day and all 4 self checkout machines and 5 or 6 regular Human checkout lines were packed 6 deep! I wonder what some of those receipts looked like! Mine was $53.00 but getting a $15 credit for using my AMEX card! Only reason I shopped at Gelsons!) I hope everyone has a very good day! 🙂
Trader Joe’s is beyond EXPENSIVE.. good stuff but not ideal for such a huge family unless you got the money to buy from there to fed 8+ people. Have more kids and don’t complain! 😂
