The greatest high note scream in Heavy Metal.
By a guy...... cough cough.... floor jansen....cough cough
@@mikemclaughlin3306 fuck floor jansen, heard of Rob Halford Painkiller!?
I think he has the greatest heavy metal voice but some singers have a better scream
@@heavyrules6699 yes indeed. Bruce is not a screamer but this scream is the most epic one in metal.
@@pickamaterina1313 who is floor jansen? I am serious
With all due respect to the God Lemmy, Maiden is the greatest metal band, ever. Saw them this past summer play this very song, and after 3+ decades of listening and seeing Maiden live, they haven't lost a thing. Epic show as always. One of the last of the "old school" metal bands, still going out and slaying audiences year after year.
Not really dude. Iron maiden are softcore rock. Only reason their called metal band is cause they made up the new wave of british heavy metal. They were never more heavy than Motörhead or Judas Priest though. Early years sure but not that much.
Hell yeah, their last tour was amazing! So much was happening, Maiden just puts on an incredible show even at their age.
For more than 30 years we (Maiden fans) have the same reactions like yours when listening to Maiden.
Never say no for another Maiden song. The 1981-90 era is perfect for me. So many great albums:
Somewere in Time
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
The Powerslave
... are the 3 best albums of Maiden. Technical the best of all.
This was the title track from the LP. ('82) The drummer back then was Clive he has passed and Niko is the drummer now .
This is Iron Maiden dude. They’re the Founding Fathers alongside a select few others.
nope..Black Sabbath where a decade prior to them....
The drummer is Clive Burr. Original drumer. The best drummer Iron Maiden had. RIP.
right bro...RIP Clive awesome drummer.
I prefer Nicko but yeah Clive was amazing too
RIP
HALLOWED BE THY NAME: What are you waiting for?
Wasted Years will change your outlook on life, or at least reinforce it.
That's my favourite Iron Maiden song!
Totally!
Amazing, great chose, skol!
More, more, more Maiden❤
Next do Iron Maiden Alexander the Great and Powerslave and Caught Somewhere in Time! \m/
The Holy grail of metal.
Iron maiden have some sort of magic to them and I cant describe it
Lovin your Maiden reactions, but as mentioned on a previous video...you can NOT do Iron Maiden without *_'Hallowed be thy name'_*_ (1982 live version preferably)_ It's considered ONE of the greatest heavy metal songs of all time! It never gets old! Then we can move on, hehe.
Keep on Rock'n...Chur from NZL.
Amen. \m/
A must watch for any "reacts to" channel, actually a must watch for anyone with good music taste! ;-)
Different drummer. This was Clive Burr (RIP) on the drums. Clive left after this album and tour. Nicko McBrain has been the drummer ever since. Other than that, this is the same line up (with the addition of 3rd guitarist Janick Gers) that they have today.
hallowed be thy name live version
The drummer Clive Burr is not exactly smiling as he passed away. He was replaced after this album with Nicky Mcbrain. RIP Clive
Joe Smyth right bro...RIP Clive awesome drummer.
Listen to fear of the dark live in rio
Hell yeah
This video is from 1982. The drummer is Clive Burr, who retired from the band in the same year. Due to exhaustion, which turned out to be later in his life to be Sclerosis Multiplex. He died from that disease 6 years ago at the age of 56. The other drummer who you referred to is Nicko McBrain, who followed Clive and has been the drummer of Maiden since then.
Iron Maiden is the goat 👍👍👍
Nothing better Iron Maiden first up in the morning.
Wasted Years, Speed of Light, Fear of the Dark (Live- Rock in Rio 2001), The Clansman (also Rock in Rio), and of course... Hallowed Be Thy Name (live - I'd recommend Flight 666 or Rock in Rio 2001)
I remember running to the local Our Price record shop after school to buy this album the day it was released. Happy days!
Godzilla? You need to listen to Gojira - Flying Whales.
The one behind the drumkit is Clive Burr. Nicko McBrain (current eversmiling drummer) can be see though... He's the devil in red suit with the mask. He would join the band as a drummer for the albums to come after this one
I saw Maiden on August 13th in Buffalo. They played this song. It was my 5th time seeing them. Still awesome!
It's nice that some youngsters are enjoying some Maiden. This was my first Maiden song I ever heard. I was 13.. That was the legendary Vincent Price doing the creepy voice over. Maiden are why I picked up a guitar I still have my Ibanez Destroyer that Adrian Smith uses. I would try to figure out who was soloing Dave Murray or Adrian Smith. I could rarely play Dave Murrays solos very well. That is a different drummer, this was Clive Burr's last album with them. Nicko McBrain started with them on the next album, Piece of Mind. There are great tunes on that album too. Flight of Icarus was their MTV video. My favorite is Where Eagles Dare, which you'll appreciate because it was from an old movie, 1960s, starring Richard Burton and a very young Clint Eastwood. WWII flick...nazis...snow...ski lifts...awesome film and song!
Agree with all you said but its not Vincent Price he wanted too much £££££, it was a guy Bruce had crossed paths with who done voice overs on radio. Bruce talks about this in his autobiography.
@@neonknight1198 Well, you are correct, sir. Barry Clayton. Thanks for the info. It sure sounded like Vincent Price...or did Vincent Price sound like Barry Clayton?
@@ericswannie2504 lol all those years i thought it was V P to. I read Bruces auto couple months ago thats the only reason i know. Up the Irons
The entire album is awesome! Up the Irons!!
Darnit. The whole video you're there, reacting to the monsters and creatures it's showing, and then the one I've been waiting for... And you immediately get up and air guitar around the room when the giant Eddie walks out onto the stage! :P
The drummer in this track is Clive Burr. This was his last album with Maiden He died in 2013 from after years suffering from MS
Dude that drummer was named Clive Burr. He was Maiden's first drummer. Replaced by the current drummer Nicko McBrain in 1982 during The Beast on the Road tour. Unfortunately, he passed away in March 2013, at the age of 56 due to MS disease which he had been suffering for quite a long time. May he rest in peace.
Good thing about music, even if a band stops playing, their music never goes away!
Caught Somewhere in Time by themselves 🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤟🤟🤘🤟🤟🤘🤟🤟🤘🤟🤟
“Are there any new bands that sound like this? Because once these guys are gone, the sound is gone.” You have taken these words right out of my mouth, Mr Rock N Roll! I feel the EXACT same way! I’m going to hate it too!
There is a tribute band (female band) called The Iron Maidens, You might wanna check 'em out
If you want Maiden!!?
Fear of the dark! Live from rock in Rio...
500.000 in the audience, sing along🤘
Just saw them a week ago and I can't get over that show, they sound better than ever! You wouldn't believe the energy! React to Flight of Icarus live from the legacy of the beast tour 🤘🏻
Bruce held that note for nearly 30 seconds.....WOW!!!!
I knew the film Godzilla existed but when I watch this videoclip 30+ odd years ago, I'm digging more about Godzilla afterwards. Thanks Iron Maiden. ❤
This guy reactions to Iron Maiden are the best. 😂😂😂
This song is balls to the wall all the way
this song came out around 1982, this was the drummer clive burrs last album with maiden, the next album piece of mind is when nicko mcbrain started playing with the band
The PEAK of NWOBHM !!!!!........a timeless Classic !!!!!
Maiden - Ghost of the Navigator.
gotta do the clansman live
Holy Grail would be right up your alley too :) fast riffs, crazy screaming vocalist, old school sound! Try "My Last Attack"
Unleash The Archers is continuing the tradition ( as mentioned in earlier comments). They are bringing back the classic metal melodies.
One song that will blast your mind is Sabaton's All Guns Blazing!!
Sign of the cross iron maiden
Bruce Dickinson competed at olympic level in fencing. Won various medals in other championships. Also an airline pilot, can fly 747s
Fantastic song. Keep em coming bruv 👍👌
In case no one mentioned below: Original drummer Doug Sampson in early years. This video is Clive Burr (2 albums I believe). The smiling goof you're thinking of is Nicko McBrain, around since Piece of Mind in '83
Godzilla!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!! greatest reaction ever bro. Hard to believe this song and video came out 38 years ago. The drummer in this video was Clive Burr who has since passed away. Bruce was actually not the original singer for Maiden, a singer named Paul Di'Anno was. This album (The number of the Beast) was the first album with Bruce as the new vocalist, and it came out in '82. The first 2 albums from Maiden featured Paul on vocals, and to me, he was pretty bad ass as well. If you want to hear Paul on vocals I suggest Killers, or Phantom of the Opera. Anyhow, keep on rockin on brother.. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶
The Prisoner , wicker man, run to the hills, aces high all Iron maiden
Oh yes, you’re my kind of guy, a metalhead, who also loves Godzilla!
The drummer in this video is Clive Burr (R.I.P.), current drummer is Nicko McBrain :)
Unleash the Archers sounds like this 🤘🔥🤘❤🤘🔥🤘❤
Yep UTA are influenced by Maiden & Priest
The drummer is Clive Burr. A very good drummer indeed. But had to step back due to some disease. CP or MS? Not sure. Nicko Mcbrain is the current drummer and took over in '83 i believe? Heard "Aces High" or "Caught somewhere in time". Has much of the same energy as this..
Finally more Maiden!!!!
That's Clive Burr (RIP) on drums and this was his last album. This was Bruce's first album.
Hallowed be thy name by IRON MAIDEN. Or a band that is touring with maiden right now THE RAVEN AGE "fleur delis"
There can never be such a thing as too much iron maiden.
Your reactions are really fun, 😂sincere, 😉really iconic!🤟
Love his reactions watch Mr Rock & roll reaction
The Red & the black Jacqueline
I send You request on Instagram, but I will send here too. The and black live chapter. Amaizing song. Of course Maiden.
You should check out a band called The Raven Age. In particular the song "Grave of the Fireflies". Steve Harris (Maiden Bass player and founder), his son is lead guitar in that band. Some people say it's kinda a new twist on Iron Maiden sound. ✌
2 minutes to midnight!
Go for it!
That's Clive Burr on drums, Niko Mcbrain. is the drummer, now Clive ended up having a really serious medical problems and had to retire
I was at the concert at Hammersmith Odeon when Iron Maiden went from being known in the UK to known all around the world. The Number of the Beast tour was when Bruce joined the band and they took of like a rocket. Little known fact Steve Harris's guitar strap covers were knitted by his grandmother.
Quite a funny story behind that scream he does after "brings me to despair" in the beginning. Took him hours to record just that scream. :-D
"The Trooper" off Piece of Mind
Sadly the drummer they have today isn't the one they had in this video, Clive Burr was their original drummer but he was diagnosed with M.S and sadly passed. This was the last album he did with them. R.i.p
Here is some more Iron Maiden for you:
Tailgunner
2 minutes to midnight
Fear of the dark
Stranger in a strange land
Run to the hills
...... Enjoy and stay metal!
This song could make one an Iron Maiden fan!
*You really should try some Beast In Black-tracks like "Crazy, Mad, Insane", "From Hell With Love", "Blind And Frozen", "Unlimited Sin", "Sweet True Lies" and give also bands like Carpenter Brut ["Turbo Killer", "Maniac"(Cover), "Inferno Galore"] and The 69 Eyes ["Dead Girls Are Easy", "Lost Boys", "Gothic Girl", "Devils", "Back In Blood"] a chance. Keep rockin' !!*
IRON MAIDEN AND GODZILLA?!!? LETS GO!!!!!
A new band with a 80's feel (more Dio than Maiden) is a description of Battle Beast. Black Ninja, Eden or Bastard Son of Odin are good songs you'll like. So is the one Sabaton covered the year after it came out. Someone remind me of the name.
I still must ask for the other power metal pioneers, Heloween, Manowar and Angra.
you are forgetting Blind Guardian and Gamma Ray, all 3 bands are tied by 1 person the godfather of Powermetal Kai Hansen, Co Created Helloween, Created Gamma Ray with ralf scheeprs, and has co written 1 of Blind Guardians anthem songs Valhalla ad several other songs
@@remcovandenheuvel1315 Forgot Gamma Ray, but not Blind Guardian. He did Valhalla the other day and it will be on the rotation from now on.
@@luisnunes2010 👍
"Is there any new bands that sound like this?" No sir. No. This is the original sound of an era that is not to be repeated. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Dio, and Black Sabbath. Metal Gods all.
Not an easy task suggesting Maiden songs, they have such a great catalogue to choose from... Hallowed be thy name, Blood brothers, Can I play with madness, Seven son of the seven son, Fear of the dark, Aces High, Two Minutes to Midnight, Run to the Hills, Wasted years, Alexander the Great, Powerslave, Flight of Icarus, The Trooper, Rime of the ancient mariner, Brave New World....
I'll stop...for now.
Again thanks for sharing your reaction videos!!
Maiden rules!
Wasted Years, Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, 22 Acacia Avenue, Hallowed be thy Name, Alexander the Great, Flight of Icarus, Strange World and maybe Murders in the Rue Morgue as potential react songs.
Always fun if someone likes Maiden, but isnt to familiar with them yet :D
Iron maiden - paschendale
What a tune!
G'day Mr. Rock N Roll, I don't know if you know this or not but the guy in the red devil outfit is Nicko McBrain, their future drummer.
Really fun fact. That’s not their current drummer. Sadly this drummer “Clive burr” has recently passed on. Their current drummer is actually the guy in this video in the devil costume at the end!
Not the same drummer. The drummer is Clive Burr (who died of MS related illness in 2013). He was replaced after The Number of the Beast album by Nico McBrain. Nico plays the Devil with his trident in the video!
22 acacia avenue. one of the greatest songs of all time along with the rest of that album
heyhey! Here are a few of my suggestions again:
- Crucified Barbara - "Rock me like the devil" or "I sell my kids for Rock'N'Roll" or "The Crucifier". You love hardrock and you love ladies palying it? You'll love this!
- Huntress - "Eight of Swords", "Zenith" or "Sorrow" because how many other times will you be able to see a pagan witch with a great voice, classical vocal training and a love for metal? Not much anymore because unfortunately vocalist (and heart) of the band Jill Janus sadly took her own live last year... She still left us with some really cool music worth checking out though! That voice can get pretty insane.
- Arch Enemy - "Nemesis" or "Ravenous", both live in Tokyo 2008 with Angela Gossow on vocals. But please be save and wear some form of protection against demonic possession!
- Bloodywood - "Ari Ari" because they are a great and unique up and coming metalband from India and totally deserve all the additional attention they can get! They mix great metal with traditional Indian instruments, rap, a powerful message and a lot of fun. It's just great! :)
- Gamma Ray - "Armageddon" or "Anywhere in the Galaxy" or... just anything from them as you love great, upliftig powermetal! These guys are the German legends of this exact genre!
it's an amazing song :) and Mia Coldheart is a rock sound machine no matter if you're talking voice or guitar :)
Huntress - Eight of Swords NOW!!!
@@libertyprime9900 yesss my friend!
Enforcer are an incredible band, formed in the 2000's. I strongly recommend "Walk With Me" and "Katana" Both from their "Diamonds" album.
2;50 Nope..that drummer is late Clive Burr, who was sacked, and year later died of MS.. He was replaced by Nicko McBrain who started drumming for Iron Maiden after this album, in 1984.
You are kill'in me with that crazed reaction!
Yeah! What an epic LP that was, just highs, no lows... :'D
Bang that head that dosn't bang!
To tame a land from piece of mind. It will blow your mind
Also do Wasted Years or Stranger in a Strange Land from the Somewhere in Time album. You won't be disappointed.
Iron maiden - Wrathchild!!!!!
Check out some of their stuff with their original singer, Paul Dianno. Charlotte The Harlot is a great song. The drummer at that time, Clive Burr (RIP) was amazing. Their style of metal was so different than most others at that time.
Next:sabaton devil dogs
YESSSS!!!!!!!! 🤘🎸
Aces high next!
🎸🤘🎸🤘
No that's a different drummer, that's Clive Burr R. I. P. He played drums in the first three albums. Iron Maiden, Killers and Number of the beast.
Just saw that Napalm Records will be streaming a Jinjer show today (10/23) @ 5pm eastern, might be worth checking out.
Powerslave
Make the time to go see them. 👍 when I saw them back in 2012 and they ended it with "number of the beast" my mind was 🤯......Love your reaction! 😂 Keep doing what you doing!👍🤘😯 WOOOOOOO!!!!
ah hell ya son.....yur hooked on metal for sure lol !!
that's Eddie their mascot.and he actually comes out on stage I've seen him live...
Up the Irons!!!!.....greatest metal band!!!!
