I toss eggshells and coffee grounds in an old cake pan in the oven. After baking something, I crush the shells and put the shells/coffee grounds through my Waring blender to pulverize the shells and mix everything. I add this to all my plantings.
Epsom Salts can be dissolved in a water can and applied after planting. You can do it on a regular basis , maybe every ten days . Just add two tablespoons in a two gallon watering can with a shower head and fill the can using a garden hose with a whatchmacallit on the end of the hose ,the pressure will dissolve the Epsom salts , just sprinkle it directly on the tomato plant . I used to do it in the evening when the sun was going down so it wouldn’t burn the plant .
Friend of mine goes up to local seafood place and gets all the fish guts he wants. Digs a nice hole and drops them in.. some of the most fertile ground you’ve ever seen!! The tomatoes are beautiful!!!
Fish have been used as fertilizer for over two hundred years. Your right they have to be buried deep or you will have every cat , raccoon and possum in the neighborhood digging up your garden .
Nice video and thank you for sharing. Very quickly..Is it cooked or fresh iced fish? Also do I need to use all the combination of aspirin, fish head etc
Perhaps in very small quantities, or mix them all up first! I’m just about to try that. I also add seaweed and all the other things including a nice sea bass head my son caught yesterday
Every person has a opinion on how to plant tomatoes. Tomatoes somehow produce a crop regardless of the different things people put in the planting hole . Why not do a soil test so you won’t be shooting in the dark
Tomatoes do not need much nitrogen. At least half of this is passé info. Look up other, more up to date info to be sure what you need to do. Tomatoes need less nitrogen and more of other two minerals.

Watching this brought back memories of my dad planting his garden. Seeing a few of these tips he used.

Thank you❤
The fish heads need to stick out a bit so they can see how the tomatoes look.
You made me think of the old medieval dish known as Stargazey Pie 😅 If you've never heard of it, look it up! 😂
So they can watch the raccoon coming to dig them and the plant up.
Dad and I would always go fishing and catch a whole bunch of sunfish always had 6' foot tomato plants.. amazing
i use cans of sardines if I can't go fishing.

Aspirin needs to be boiled for 10 mins to release its goodness or just use bark of the white willow.
I use sardines
I usually go to a dollar store and buy cans of sardines in water 1 can in each hole with a hand full of bone meal and I have a tomato jungle
Great idea!!! Thanks ❤
Nice video and thank you for sharing.

BAKING SODA RAISES PH LEVELS IN SOIL!!!
Is that good or bad??
Hi and thank you God bless
I don't know where to get some of the ingredients
Worm castings
I used all of that except the fish heads and i used manure
You mean you apply all ingredients in the planting holes at same time?
How's it looking now?
Should we put all 8 ingredients one time!
did you get a reply?
I would definitely say that's Overkill
My question too
Perhaps in very small quantities, or mix them all up first! I’m just about to try that. I also add seaweed and all the other things including a nice sea bass head my son caught yesterday

be sure to water the leephs because they drink thru their leafs
How about banana peels?
They work well if you bury them at the base.

You forgot the blood meal and banana
yea, potassium deficiency is no joke, i lost a whole grown plant cuz i wasnt aware of that
They mentioned bone meal
Has anyone tried any of these?
@@annefricker8474 No. They are not necessary if you have decent soil and good quality fertilizer.
I use mosquito manure.😉

It helps en you pee on the plant
build up you soil and these additives wont even be needed
While true, these also help build up the soil. At least some of these…
Fish heads do nothing except attract pest that will dig up your tomatos
That is not true it's a natural fertilizer all the way back to the Indian days I don't know did they get it wrong😅
Most of these are old wives tales👎
