You'd think if it was a poacher, the last thing they'd want would be to announce their presence to people and antagonise them by wrecking the cabin. I suppose some people are just daft, but someone who is cunning enough to track and hunt animals while avoiding landowners doesn't strike me as the kind of person who wouldn't realise wrecking the cabin was a stupid idea. I also can't imagine they didn't know the drone was there. I have one myself and they're loud, you can hear them hundreds of meters away. The person might not have realised it was directly overhead though as it can be difficult to tell what direction the sound is coming from. Again though, it seems like someone who if anything wants you to know they're there and is trying to intimidate you. Here's an idea: Set something up that you think they might be likely to steal (like maybe a dummy trailcam, you can get them online), and put an AirTag or GPS tracker inside it. See where they take it. Turn the tables and make the hunter the hunted!
What about next time you take a mate with you, one in the main tent in full view, the other going full stealth. Do a recce in daylight, then arrive separately from different directions. Hopefully this will expose whoever it is………….. Fascinating stuff for sure 👏👏

Well, 1: try using a thermal camera to see what's hot at night to follow. 2: recommend you take a friend along for A: Safety now B: Potentially catching out your Wermit. 3: bear in mind your Wermit might also be using thermal as well. 😊 I'm going with a Human walker and not a wild creature purely on the basis of it's movement as a wild animal ( sasqautch ) wouldn't behave like a human.😎

Listening to the sounds, I totally agree with many others that think that it was more than 1 human, making noises back & forth with each other. To the extent that I think that it's a minimum of two people, possibly 3 or 4 even! Totally had to subscribe. This is interesting stuff! I do agree that you should consider going with as many friends as you can.... the more you have, the safer you all should be even, and using thermal cameras, to see, would make things a lot,... clearing in understanding of what's really going on. I'd consider asking family, friends, absolutely anyone you could get, to go with you, because your safety is rather important! And just incase you don't want to use real guns (Though that's not completely a bad idea, if you know what exactly you'd be shooting at), you could always freeze some paintballs & use paintball guns. I assure you, it'd definitely be a nice warning, before using real bullets.

Also, while who/ whatever it is out there is a mystery, 2 things are known: 1) they have above average abilities moving about in the dark; and 2) they are deliberately and effectively concealing their presence unless actively not... Partly makes me think poacher but then would they be there so regularly? So the other option is a homeless person, maybe ex-military, but that's unlikely too as surely you'd have found traces of a camp.....Beyond those 2 possibilities you're definitely getting into some weird territory!
I agree totally with Jack. Also if the intruder is using a thermal and you are using NV with an ir lamp a thermal May pick up your ir beam as well as your body heat . Try a heat reflective space blanket inside your shelter ( interior) draped over the opening with the Camo net draped exterior with foliage !! The space blanket will mask most of your outline ( not all)..anyone with fieldcraft savvy will spot an exposed camo net a mile off.Alan ( new sub) good luck?

Careful. I spotted two ppl moving in that drone video. Look a little to the right of the obvious person and right before you see the obvious one. Looks like they were walking together about 3 to 15 yards away from each other. But definitely two things moving in that clip.
This is why I don’t go camping at all. Some creepy ass people in the woods making signalling sounds to each other. Scary and take a friend, there’s safety in numbers.
i hear noises like that outside my cabin and the sound of wood being tapped...my dog goes crazy some nights and barks at something in the wood..ive put camera out but never caught anything ..and different things happen on my land..like finding broken glass and my petrol cans being punctured and last year my solar panel were moved into a different position...hope you find out what it is

How about setting up night cameras around the tent, looking at the tent, with overlapping views, so one camera cannot be compromised, while getting video of the compromiser?
I'm so intrigued I've subscribed! I was genuinely interested anyway, and fair play to you for camping out overnight. Some of our wildlife does make some seriously weird and unsettling noises. A couple of years ago, I had gone off piste in forestry near Loch Ness. I had to make my way down through a ravine to get back to a path, and the entire time a group of red deer hinds kept track of me above while periodically shrieking. They were so loud and clearly pissy with my presence! So, you definitely have a human presence as the drone showed. But those late night sounds are freaky. Initially I thought it was human, but it does sound like there are two calls, rather like the way tawny owls hoot at each other. It could be a deer species, but it could be your knobhead of an intruder and a friend. As someone else has said, infrared could really help. All the best from Somerset.

The shrieking deer might have actually been Sika and not red deer, they have a tendency to catch you when you're least expecting it and if you're not familiar with the sound it can be very unsettling indeed

The land is owned by a man I know but he don't live in the UK most of thr year. The other woods that span the hills join this land and woods. That's owned by a buissness group and scheme. This land is really out the way. I worry about it being a weired group of some people.

Are you using passive ir or are you using illumination? If you are using illumination and they have ir you may aswell put on a disco. Why did you have a light on in your hide during dawn, if they were hanging around in the tree line then they know what you are up to.
In future use a red light. It preserves your night vision, can’t be seen from a distance. I think a branch was thrown to see if there was a reaction. When one one appeared out of the tent the shouting was to either get you to reveal where you were or just being prats. Next time take a mate or two. But someone active around the decoy then have two sets of eyes watching the decoy camp. See what happened then.
The first trail cam footage you showed whatever it is can see the uv light your game caera puts out to video at night people can't see uv light when you did your fake camp your nite vision that you used works off the same set up so whatever it is can see that light as well I see somebody else recommended using thermal scope or try a ir nite vision scope
The noises stopped when the night vision went on. Perhaps it gave you away. Maybe have some flood lights ready to turn on on all the surrounding areas. When the noises start up or they seem really close, turn on normal video recording, then turn on flood lights. No uv to give you away.
Is it possible to put a bit of black electrical tape over the red light which shows the camera is on without interfering with it working? I think a little red light would be so obvious in the dark even if it's some way off.
make a dummy camp in the same spot as your yellow tent, have a friend lay in there all night, then you sit about 30-40 yards away in ghillie. oh, and a few trail cams pointed out will help too...

You do know that there is another you tuber out there camping out where you are filming about strange goings on in his local woodland and that there are suddenly all these trail cams up and a bloke keeps spying on him lol
I do things similar at least once a fortnight in suffolk and most often Thetford forest so far nothing at all well certainly nothing i see as definative pretty much every encounter ive had with things unexplained i can quickly assume is people or Pareidolia my beliefs are pretty nihilistic so i really struggle with any kind of belief but still i go if nothing else it certainly is one hell of a buzz lol keep up the good work dude and good luck , your work is inspirational
What a lovely place aswell, Suffolk is a great place. I must admit it's got me so intrigued with everyone else's beliefs and theory's of this. Personally I think it's got to be a person. However it's so creepy and no sign of them as of yet. I got a better idea for the cabin now and will start building when I get back from Wales. Thanks very much 👍🏻

I once thought that until I see one mtself in box hill in Surrey I am 100% positive in what I saw. I was confused at first at what I was seeing until I looked into it and found many other reports in the UK of people seeing these things aswell.
Definitely a blokes voice not a woman. Recommend another decoy camp. You could maybe benefit from being off the ground like up a decent tree which would give you the advantage of the high ground giving you a better field of vision and the addition of safety if you think you need it. Personally I’d take a crossbow or something equally as stealth like and I feel fairly confident I’d catch this fella. The advantage of a crossbow is there extremely quiet which means if this fella isn’t alone then his accomplice wouldn’t be scared off by the noise a gun would make meaning you could get them both. Gotta love a manhunt 💪🏼🔥
Karl there were two people in the drone footage. The one in dark clothing and just ahead of him one in light colored clothing. I thought i saw two figures so i went back and watched it a few times to be sure and there's definitely two figures. Go back and look again. I actually seen the one in light clothing before i seen the other. But there are two figures!!!
I watched the dummy camp on repeat and it looks tho somthing threw so thing and pulled with hand just befor tent moved you barley see black shape on edge top idk looks tho trying to scare who ever was inside of it
Sounds like an owl to me. Especially that last little whoop at the end. They can make some extraordinary sounds like humans. Maybe check with a local wildlife specialist or a person who does birding?
In Turkey we have Kangal Shepherd Dog! Trust me if there is something there it won't be there for long! The Kangal will find whatever it is in the woodland and fields specially if you have a pack of Kangals

Yes it is very odd and at the same time baffling. Why would these two people or things whatever be doing this. I've not yet been confronted but still having strange things now an again. Your the first I'm telling as a comment but. I have got some more materials that are 4x2 and stud timber to rebuild a better cabin. That person new you was in the small tent. every thing must be done at night so no one can see you set up. Then a friend must go and camp in front of you in the day have a fire and you watch with no light only red light if you have to have light. and be safe could be a bansh witch.

It sounded like 2 people, a male and female, one calling to the other but hard to be positive. You were a bit far from the tent to really be able to see if it was related to them seeing your tent. Might be an idea to also put up the perimeter wire like you did in the last vid so you will have a better idea if they're targeting you or just wandering when the pubs shut. But how far is the nearest pub or house?
I take my dog out at 3 am every morning and the foxes like winding my rottie up with similar noises sometimes that comes from the males funny enough the female one's sound a bit more high pitched..on your drone that definitely looked like a man walking around not Bigfoot like so you can discount that.
Yeah foxes do make some racket. I'm thinking of getting a rottie pup this summer as a buddy for my outings. Well that's good news lol I thought it was a man or person. Some have got there own views. I'm fine with that but I agree definitely more likely a man or woman

And speaking from experience, I found a well hidden shelter built in a gully in the woods, & I had walk that area many times over 20 years or so, only found it due to the dog I had with me that day...

Have you tried displaying private property keep out notices at all? At least then the person is aware that they are in the wrong. It is probably somebody homeless that doesnt want to deal with the life of the city centre?
If youre genuine and looking for answers it is a Sabe, loads of sightings in Britain, there is no way id go anywhere near one . If youre not good attempt.!
0:38 check out the tree just behind you to the right, you can see one peeking from behind it. Possibly others as I can see some eye shine. 1:09 just left of the tree to the far right, third of the way up you can see another peeking. You won’t catch these things out as they’re watching you the minute you enter and see everything you’re doing. They make those noises to freak you out and its to make sure you don’t come back.

i hear noises like that outside my cabin and the sound of wood being tapped...my dog goes crazy some nights and barks at something in the wood..ive put camera out but never caught anything ..and different things happen on my land..like finding broken glass and my petrol cans being punctured and last year my solar panel were moved into a different position...hope you find out what it is

How about setting up night cameras around the tent, looking at the tent, with overlapping views, so one camera cannot be compromised, while getting video of the compromiser?
I'm so intrigued I've subscribed! I was genuinely interested anyway, and fair play to you for camping out overnight. Some of our wildlife does make some seriously weird and unsettling noises. A couple of years ago, I had gone off piste in forestry near Loch Ness. I had to make my way down through a ravine to get back to a path, and the entire time a group of red deer hinds kept track of me above while periodically shrieking. They were so loud and clearly pissy with my presence! So, you definitely have a human presence as the drone showed. But those late night sounds are freaky. Initially I thought it was human, but it does sound like there are two calls, rather like the way tawny owls hoot at each other. It could be a deer species, but it could be your knobhead of an intruder and a friend. As someone else has said, infrared could really help. All the best from Somerset.

The shrieking deer might have actually been Sika and not red deer, they have a tendency to catch you when you're least expecting it and if you're not familiar with the sound it can be very unsettling indeed

The land is owned by a man I know but he don't live in the UK most of thr year.
The other woods that span the hills join this land and woods.
That's owned by a buissness group and scheme.

Just to add to the previous post.....those noises were absolutely humans trying to sound eerie and I will adamantly stick to there being two of them.

Are you using passive ir or are you using illumination? If you are using illumination and they have ir you may aswell put on a disco. Why did you have a light on in your hide during dawn, if they were hanging around in the tree line then they know what you are up to.
In future use a red light. It preserves your night vision, can’t be seen from a distance.
I think a branch was thrown to see if there was a reaction. When one one appeared out of the tent the shouting was to either get you to reveal where you were or just being prats.
Next time take a mate or two. But someone active around the decoy then have two sets of eyes watching the decoy camp. See what happened then.
The first trail cam footage you showed whatever it is can see the uv light your game caera puts out to video at night people can't see uv light when you did your fake camp your nite vision that you used works off the same set up so whatever it is can see that light as well I see somebody else recommended using thermal scope or try a ir nite vision scope
The noises stopped when the night vision went on. Perhaps it gave you away. Maybe have some flood lights ready to turn on on all the surrounding areas. When the noises start up or they seem really close, turn on normal video recording, then turn on flood lights. No uv to give you away.
Is it possible to put a bit of black electrical tape over the red light which shows the camera is on without interfering with it working? I think a little red light would be so obvious in the dark even if it's some way off.
make a dummy camp in the same spot as your yellow tent, have a friend lay in there all night, then you sit about 30-40 yards away in ghillie. oh, and a few trail cams pointed out will help too...

I do things similar at least once a fortnight in suffolk and most often Thetford forest so far nothing at all well certainly nothing i see as definative pretty much every encounter ive had with things unexplained i can quickly assume is people or Pareidolia my beliefs are pretty nihilistic so i really struggle with any kind of belief but still i go if nothing else it certainly is one hell of a buzz lol keep up the good work dude and good luck , your work is inspirational

I once thought that until I see one mtself in box hill in Surrey I am 100% positive in what I saw. I was confused at first at what I was seeing until I looked into it and found many other reports in the UK of people seeing these things aswell.
Definitely a blokes voice not a woman. Recommend another decoy camp. You could maybe benefit from being off the ground like up a decent tree which would give you the advantage of the high ground giving you a better field of vision and the addition of safety if you think you need it. Personally I’d take a crossbow or something equally as stealth like and I feel fairly confident I’d catch this fella. The advantage of a crossbow is there extremely quiet which means if this fella isn’t alone then his accomplice wouldn’t be scared off by the noise a gun would make meaning you could get them both. Gotta love a manhunt 💪🏼🔥

Karl there were two people in the drone footage. The one in dark clothing and just ahead of him one in light colored clothing. I thought i saw two figures so i went back and watched it a few times to be sure and there's definitely two figures. Go back and look again. I actually seen the one in light clothing before i seen the other. But there are two figures!!!

Sounds like an owl to me. Especially that last little whoop at the end. They can make some extraordinary sounds like humans. Maybe check with a local wildlife specialist or a person who does birding?
In Turkey we have Kangal Shepherd Dog! Trust me if there is something there it won't be there for long! The Kangal will find whatever it is in the woodland and fields specially if you have a pack of Kangals

I'm going to be getting a pup this year hopefully late summer, I was going to go rottweiler or german shepherd as I grew up around the shepherd and a neighbour has a rottie.
So I'm stuck between the two on what to get, it should be a good companion in the woods what ever one .

That person new you was in the small tent. every thing must be done at night so no one can see you set up. Then a friend must go and camp in front of you in the day have a fire and you watch with no light only red light if you have to have light. and be safe could be a bansh witch.

It sounded like 2 people, a male and female, one calling to the other but hard to be positive. You were a bit far from the tent to really be able to see if it was related to them seeing your tent. Might be an idea to also put up the perimeter wire like you did in the last vid so you will have a better idea if they're targeting you or just wandering when the pubs shut. But how far is the nearest pub or house?

I take my dog out at 3 am every morning and the foxes like winding my rottie up with similar noises sometimes that comes from the males funny enough the female one's sound a bit more high pitched..on your drone that definitely looked like a man walking around not Bigfoot like so you can discount that.

@@welcome2thewoodsuk buddy I've seen two Sasquatch in the UK in my lifetime the first time on army exercise so I'm not a sceptic I zoomed in on it myself and it looks like someone in a ghillie or camo but definitely a man the way he walked. Are there any gamekeepers in the area or anything. I don't think it's a poacher cos I didn't see him carrying a firearm.

I thought someone drunk or worse sounds like 2 people, but why choose to be out there I never know.
Could always possibly be a illegally camped person or persons,, but I would of seen or heard them all night.

0:38 check out the tree just behind you to the right, you can see one peeking from behind it. Possibly others as I can see some eye shine. 1:09 just left of the tree to the far right, third of the way up you can see another peeking. You won’t catch these things out as they’re watching you the minute you enter and see everything you’re doing. They make those noises to freak you out and its to make sure you don’t come back.

I actually think there are TWO people, the darker one (which is definitely human) and another dressed in lighter clothing walking a few yards ahead on the part of the video where you circled the obvious one....off to the right partially obscured by branches.....be careful because I personally feel someone is watching your videos and knows that area.
