Outkast was legends then! Whole crowd knew the song in New York! That's big!
This was filmed in LA
@Salah Selah y’all probably do now but back then no chance!
@Salah Selah Y’all bumped that West coast true! But down south no way! Master P wasn’t even out then Hot Boys either smh! I’m just telling the truth! My family is from all over New York and they constantly ragged on us about down south music. That bama country dis dat and the 3rd! See the south was neutral, we rocked with everybody! NY started it, Cali added that Gangsta! Midwest did they thang then the South completed the cycle! We never hated on y’all tho and that’s facts! Especially in the A!
I was speaking about that time! That was 1992 ish was different then! The country slang was not acceptable to New Yorkers! In order to become nationwide we needed artist like kriss kross and arrested development to breakthrough the stronghold that NY had on music. The west coast had already broken through as well as the Midwest but the only southern rap group to really break mainstream and actually sound like where they from was the Geto Boys! Like I said at that time the south as a whole was ignored by the music industry itself until Andre 3000 told them at the source awards during the east coast west coast beef! “ the south got something to say “ and I’m going to leave it at that!
@Salah Selah you can call us country but y’all followed the “country” person route most of y’all music life ……Master P, Jermaine Dupri, Baby from Cash Money……just to name some from the south that was the first to have their own production and distribution deals and Master P , Jermaine Dupri the first to have women on their record label. I’m real proud to be “Country”
Never seen a bad set from Ced. Living legend
He has one..
Facts!!I've seen him live 5xs NEVER repeated a joke or bit. He is the man
@@MTRD71 he’s repeated some jokes. Like the church bit in this one he’s done in other sets before.
Big Facts!!!!

The Keith Sweat reference is HYSTERICAL!!!😁💯
He really can’t sing lol 😂
I thought I was the only one! I felt the same way about Joe too 🤦🏽♀️😂
When everyone came in on the OutKast joint!! OutKast had to be proud on that!
This clip shows that by the mid 90's, Southern hip hop had finally been accepted by NY. They could have sung every word of that outkast song. Funny how they ain't clap when he mentioned Outkast but when he started that hit...they knew what time it was.
When your mama and daddy was together! LOL
what’s that song
I think this was the best set of his career. And he didn't even curse.
He did curse rick james skit
He ain't lying about 'I miss my Uncle Charles Yall....'
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nothing but facts!!👌🏾
all n da vowel😂😂😅
Probably the only part some people know.
Lol
That OutKast shit was hilarious.
Bwhahahaha Lolololololol bwhahahaha Lolololololol bwhahahaha 💯 💯💯💯💯
Them boys was getting that New York love early on
@@demetrrius3000 this was in LA but I’m from NY we was definitely bumping Outkast
@@boxchevyrollin ok kool..I thought they moved to LA towards the end. Them boys was on the map tho
ATLiens!
Still laughing at the Mary J. joke. He is telling the truth😂😂😂😂. She's FOREVER like that😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@wintermonroe2894 I'm Still laughing. Beyonce' is another Prime Example. She said Algeba But it's Algebra, I thought it was a joke at first but they actually let her record what she said😒. This woman has All the money in the world but people didn't tell her or advised her NO!!! Mrs. Carter- Stop It! Everybody was laughing. Even other celebrities were imitating her. She can sing her Ass Off but speaking😒. Just shows it's All about making money- And not upsetting the goose that lays the " Golden Egg"! But I Love Cedric because he is honest.
"I was your lover and your se-certur" 😂
You from Maryland?
Beyonce' made a reference to Sam Cooke's song. All she had to do is repeat what he said. She couldn't even do that😭😒😝
That rick James song 😂😂
“I’ll bust yo head...records” 💀 DIS MAKE ME WANNA BE BORN BACK DEN 😂
I'll Run Up In Yo House and Take Everythang.......Productions
🤣🤣🤣🤣
On god yooo 😂😂😂😂
😆
@@dominiquejones3805 😆😆
It’s funny to see him talk about current hip hop vs old school hip hop and this was the 90s. 🤣
Now we arguing about hip hop now vs the 90s.
You not lying yo 😂😂😂
But funny everyone one he talked about still relevant today
I’ve been looking for this for so long. The Keith Sweat joke always kills me 😂💀
Cedric was an old head early in the comedy game 😂
Cedric has a gearald levert vibe?
I would just say he loves good music. Back then, it wasn’t considered being an old head.
@@jayyahmad9225 facts
I always believe he was the 2nd best talent outside of Bernie Mac in The Kings of Comedy
Can't 4 get D.L hughley...👍😎
Right almost forget who the other 2 where lol
Steve Harvey was definitely not funny!!!!
@@victorlewis4915 😂😂😂😂
@@victorlewis4915 Steve was just passing time in the Original Kings Of Comedy series.
Proud 80s baby! Glad I got to be a part of this era 🙌🏾
Peace to Outkast you know you doper than crack when the east is reciting your music from the heart. As Dre said on the 95 Source Awards, “The Souf got sumthin to say...” and we all listened.
...#ATLStandUp #DSGB4Life #DungeonFamily
This was in cali
@@SavertonJr Damn you're right. Never knew they recorded in Cali
@@blakswizzy No he isn’t, the ‘95 source awards were on the east coast, that’s why snoop asked “the east coast don’t love dr Dre and snoop dog”, and 3000 told them the south has something to say. Shug talked about puff dancing in the videos, that’s when the media kicked off that east v. west shit.
@@fithrwer6286 yes the source awards was in NY. But this **def jam episode** was recorded in LA.
😂😂😂 I came here just for the Mary J Blidge joke, I was your lover and your secraturl
He loves to dance that’s one of things I enjoy about him!
Purely a entertainer
I read somewhere that before he started his comedy career, he was actually a dancer.
Yessss, i loves me a dancing man 😂😂😂
He s got some sick moves . He good
He goes hard too!😂
This is a masterclass in comedy
New York was on that Outkast tho!!!
Not at first. NY wasnt fucking with the south back then. But the south just took over
@@stankpussyk.3940 I know
@@stankpussyk.3940 still not if you don't actually know how to rap.
We were loving that ATLiens album in Jersey. I was a shorty back then.
When it came to the awards shows they tried to act funny like Outkast wasn't popping. But you see in the comedy show them niggas knew all the words 🤣 but this was in LA not NY
I'd never seen this. I'm a huge Cedric The Entertainer fan and I'd totally missed this. CRAZY funny!
This is the best era of comedy, music, movies, and most importantly life💯💯💯
This dude is an ENTERTAINER
I can never get enough of Cedric! Someday I wish to be a comedian just like him!
Blessings to you in your endeavor.

That moment when you realise Cedric been doing the same act 20 years on..but still killin it 😁😁
“Sec-cruy-tary,” 😂😂😂Cedric was dropping so much truth, this was a 90s music master class. I remember my mom kept Kieth Sweat and the Waiting To Exhale soundtrack in rotation for the whole 90s. 😂😂

CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER everybody!
Comedic GENIUS. 😎
I went to college in Georgia in the 90’s . They use to tease me about my slang . Shit was hilarious. I could’ve clown them on their country accent , but I had to admit some of our slang is out there lol
Did anyone else leave for a second to go listen to the Mary J Blige a song??🤣🤣🤣😭💀
“Back when ya mama n daddy was together”
What song was that ?
Good comedy don't go out of style. 2021 and i'm rolling like its 96. lol
My uncle had these on VHS when I was younger and mane when I say this was one of the funniest sets I’ve ever seen 😂😂😂😂😂😂 the church bit was HILARIOUS 😂😂😂😂 I been looking for this for forever
When he made fun of Mary J I about lost it!
THIS IS ONE OF THE KOLDEST COMEDIANS ON THE PLANET!.. THIS LEAVE ME IN TEARS😆😂😭😆😂😆😭

Ced got the crowd jumping!
He didn’t have to flame Mary J like that 😂😂😂😂
Da Keith Sweat part had me 😭

The OutKast me and you part sent me back to my childhood...
In an alternate universe Cedric is a Singer that can do comedy well (& he's still the same person)
As a non American I absolutely love his southern drawl. Can’t get enough! Ced the legend 🥇
bits stuffed with singing, dancing, rapping..."The Entertainer" is right
New York really loved Outkast...u can tell
You're my lady hella mean mugging 😂😂😂😂
That pulpit joke was very good.
Still funny @$$ F in 2020, jus sayin
Cedric has sugar daddy vibes. Lol
OMG!!!!! Ced is on another level of creativity and originality
In another life, he would been one hell of a music teacher in high school. His singing isn't too scoff at either. 😊
The Mary J. Blidge part 😂😂😂
6:45 That's why he the GOAT TO ME!
Outkast had slaps though
Cedric been an uncle his whole life 😂😂😂
Omg the I’ll never forget the Rick James song being in jail 😂😂😂😂
I’m thinking this is late 1996 or early 1997. Keith Sweat album came out in 1996. OutKast too
96? It's 97!. Share My World album came out that year
@@jknumber5138 that song came out in 96 first on the waiting to exhale soundtrack. Her album dropped the next year
Absolutely. I taped this (VHS).
It’s crazy how ced always been old school and grown even in his young years lol

They knew what was up with that Outkast Tho 💯😂
That conjugal visits song is stuck in my head 😂
Ced & Berni Mac, Goats.. Eddie Murphy.

Omg this has got to be my favorite stand up of Cedric's. He is one of my favorite comedian if not the favorite!!
I just finished watching all of Def Jam and aside from Martin, Ced was probably my favorite to see on there. Cracked me up every single time.
I remember going back to school repeating all these jokes 🤣
Funny as hell 🤣bruh this epic Cedric never disappoints !
One of my favorite stand up performances!
Ced is so stupid...😂😂😂😂🤣. Always loved him and he looked like my Uncle! ♥️. He stayed clean on Def Jam...I LOVE when people hold their ground and be them. 🙏🏽
This brought me straight back to 96.
He is not lying about Bone Thugs 😂😂😂
