The lack of underside aerodynamics erks me, that would have helped with the speed and lift. Specially since you even mentioned the pontoons causing drag in the water.
The wing/ spoiler on top of the cockpit is creating down force which is pushing you into the water essentially adding more and more weight the faster you go. So theoretically if you turn it backwards it will create 'up force' pulling the the back of the boat out of the water and canceling some weight
I made a boat with only 3 underwater jets that could go 207, I used more aerodynamic parts to make it have less drag. (it doesn't like corners) Drag is your biggest problem I think.

Depending on the physics programmed for the water it may be just denser air. That would mean you can use the triangular blocks underwater to reduce drag. Also, if you put the dragon/raw engines under the vehicle's center of mass (underwater basically) they should help lift it out of the water, reducing drag that way. Less of the boat underwater = less drag from the water

the bottom thing as you called it is extra weights so it doesent flip so it ads more bottom weight to balanc the mass center of the boat posibly even more then down force needed is always good
drae you know as with air based creations you need to work around the drag so the craft is faster and with the wind on the track course you needed to use the aerodynamic blocs so the wind would not push you off you should try doing the same to your speed boat cause you know water produces way more drag joust put the aerodynamic blocs underneath your creation so it could use the drag from water to push itself up and stay above water as much as it can (for inspiration on your speedboats underside just check out some pictures of speedboats on google look at the design of the part that hits the water)but honestly don't know if the water physics are so in debt in this game BTW as a physics geek i was facepalming almost trough the whole video good luck next time and thanks for the awesome content. stay awesome greetings from Latvia.
Your idea is good, an amphibian vehicle could always be good. There is also the ability to transform from a vehicle to another by going to the place that says transform and add up to 5 vehicles and using shift and 1 to 5, you can transform from a vehicle to another.

Maybe if you put a landing-gear style steering wheel under the boat and right behind the buoyancy can in front, you could have a fun, slidey land drifter too.
As for wings, I would have a double set of wings: a big set in the back and a small set along the bridge. If it were possible, (I don't know) I'd make the big set's flaps steer a second slower than the smaller set's. Oh, and I would put a small propeller up front and two on the sides in the back. Or four, if you're feeling cargo-planey.
Even if the game audio is broken I like the jazz in the background, it's kinda relaxing I like it, could you try to do it in some of your other videos?
The Dragon jets have a higher power-to-weight ratio compared to the Raw jets, so if you want to go faster, I suggest you ditch your Raw jet in the rear and use Dragon jets exclusively.

Hey drae I just wanted to say that I love you videos and think that you’re very funny. In addition I wanted to say that I think you should look into a game called Terratech. It’s a building based game where you can fight and mine resources and there are many cool things that are involved. I think that, based on the games you play like trail makers, you will like it and I would love to see you play it.
Some commentary on boat design for Trailmakers.. You've got two real problems with this boat. First, it's too heavy. Even if you can float all the weight it still affects max speed. Second, aerodynamics (or, rather, hydrodynamics); having streamlined surfaces affects the speed of vehicles in air in the game, and water is something like 800x denser, so having streamlined surfaces in the water is a BIG deal. I made a simple catamaran whose pontoons were entirely streamlined, with a single water engine at the back end of each. I used top-mounted rudders for turning which worked well enough and most importantly didn't add additional drag in the water. I was able to get it up to ~120mph with no problem, with just the 2 water engines and no jets. As I was building it I did a test where I removed all the wedges and the like from the pontoons and it could barely break 60mph, so streamlining has a big, noticeable effect. As an aside, I also did testing on wedges forming a vertical point vs horizontal underneath, and the horizontal wedges had no effect on lifting the boat out of the water as it moved, be they long or regular wedges. I guess the game doesn't model planing very often, so if you want your nose to stay out of the water it needs to be very light with pontoons near the front. My catamaran is entirely vertical wedges (on their side) around the pontoons. I didn't have to smooth over the bottom of the pontoons, and in fact doing so added too much weight and slowed it down. So, you want a thin hull (with outriggers if necessary) that is as streamlined as possible, with nothing breaking the smooth surface. Anything sticking out or down that's in the water needs to have wedges in front of and, unless it's an engine, behind it. Also you want it overall as lightweight as possible. Be wary of having jets on top of the hull as they tend to point the nose down and it's hard to counteract that without adding more weight.

On Ground you went 130+ but water your max is around 84-86 so it looks like they did added limit on how fast you can go on water

Didn't u kno that raw thrusters give a higher thrust but their weight slows them but dragon thrusters go 2x faster with lesser thrust and weight
Sup o_0 and RAW thrusters only last a short period before shutting off. Good for boosters, not so good for overall speed.

RAW Thrusters work only as boosters, they will cut out every so often. Dragon Thrusters provide constant thrust and never cut out.

it will make you turn really well because of its inertia
