Not knowing anything about Shopify app development, the questions in my mind are: Do I develop the app in whatever language I want, host it myself, and it gets displayed in an ? Or do I use one of a set of "blessed" languages and Shopify hosts and runs the code? What exactly is App Bridge (I watched the quick overview, but…uh…yeah)? Pretty much, I get that we use APIs and web hooks, but what and how exactly are we building these apps. That's the overview I'm hoping for.

Hey folks at ShopifyDevs. I'm a front-end developer working on a Shopify app, and I want to give a shout-out to you all for making this video series. Liz is an awesome and friendly guide to the process, and the video layout and graphics are really cool.
I wanted to also add that the structure of the lessons, though, feels blindingly fast and a little hard to follow. For example in this video, from timestamp 1:10 to 1:29, the entire structure of a Shopify App (Merchant UI, accessing data through admin api, App theme extensions) is explained in less than 20 seconds, while a beautiful but distracting animated diagram is illustrating another process that doesn't correspond to the voice-over. And then we switch immediately to explaining app pricing, which is almost entirely unrelated to the last point, and also the title of the video.
The pace gives me whiplash, but I'm particularly worried for beginner developers who might feel downright dumb. As dev evangelists, yall probably know that it can be pretty tough for devs to get a grip on a new system. I think if I didn't already know some things about Shopify app development, I'd feel like I'm the slow one for not understanding Shopify Apps after this video. I think it would be really amazing if this video focused on just those 19 seconds of content, because there's a lot going on there.
I know that I can't see into the business requirements behind this video, and I imagine that they weren't totally in your control. But I am reaching out to say that as a dev, this video would feel a lot more dev-friendly if it slowed down a little and took its time with each topic. I appreciate all the effort yall are going to and I really hope to see more videos. Love, Bashu!

      Just a thought..... 🤔
💭 Maybe she had to get all the information out in less than 2 minutes. 🤷‍♀️
Or maybe Liz is just a fast talker like YOU said. 😁 Either way, it sure was hard to understand her! 😜 Have a wonderful day! 😊 ✌️
