I have the 2022 Pathfinder Platinum 4WD. I found out from a reliable person who works for Nissan, if you use Premium High Octane gasoline in their 3.5 L engine it knocks it up about 15 to 20 HP and also knocks up the torque. Once fully running on Premium Octane gasoline you will notice the difference when accelerating. I am running my Pathfinder on Premium gasoline only. I like this Pathfinder very much. I have had a fair number of SUVs over the years. This one is the best I have ever owned. I had the full trailer package installed at the time I ordered it.
I put in an order for the Ariya Platinum AWD e-4ORCE/performance - extended range, and with the Nappa leather package. I am supposed to have it August 2023. I will be using this EV more for local driving around the city area. I will use the Pathfinder more for long trips and for snow storms and heavy snow conditions.
Same with our new qx60. They love 91 non ethanol
I have read in Nissan press kits and been told this increase in HP and torque with higher octane Premium fuel unfortunately only applies to the Rock Creek edition...(premium fuel will not improve HP/torque in other editions). If this is not true, that would be great news.
Great review. Always on point.
Appreciate it!
I love this trim! And yes I totally agree with the multicolor ambient lighting thing. I actually thought about the orange color, but for the Maxima. I think Nissan should use a bright orange ambient lighting color as a trademark. That would look sick on this Rock Creek trim and on the Maxima as well.
My favorite vehicle!
A red one showed up in my driveway last night.
One of the best reviews of the pathfinder...GJ
Appreciate it!
You know more about the trim levels than any Nissan salespeople I've spoken to.
Cruising through that patch of grass , like it's NOTHIN ' !
This car drives amazing even at top speed
Which one do you suggest between Kia Telluride and a Nissan pathfinder. It will be mostly for city/highway driving with very light off-roading use.
Nissan is doing amazing job love the changes of Altima love the Pathfinder so glad has automatic transmission wish put one in Rogue as well still the CVTS are much better now see the brand is doing excellent job remember when they had First Award of Excellence now it needs be like that for 2023 years back they were bland now looks more modern.
I’m not getting a clear answer online, is the required fuel ⛽️ premium across all trims?
An updated key fob what?! 😂
Great vehicle
Great review! I love my Pathfinder 2023 SL. But there is no need to go over the grass, there is someone taking care of that lot, and the grass seems to be well taken care of without weeds, no need to mess with it.
They need to bring an automatic transmission to their bread and butter Rogue.
I have no qualms with the turbo 3 cyl but I agree, 4cyl auto trans would be preferable.
The biggest complaint with the 2022 model was passenger seat too low and not being power adjustable with any trim level, a large group of 2022 owners are trying to get Nissan to do something about it.
Fixed on the 2023
Can you use regular gas with Rock Creek model? And if you can, will that reduce the horse power?
Yes
Captain's chairs are actually optional on the Platinum. They're not standard on any trim.
Sort of opposite, they are standard but you have the option to delete them and get a bench.
@@adambartlett2780 thanks. Do you know if anything else can be deleted from the Platinum?
Test drove the 2023 rock creek and was very disappointed... felt like a tank
We bought the vehicle your driving. Lol had no idea you pushed her around the block. Lol
Your Pathfinder is now famous! 😆 Awesome SUV tho! Congrats!
6 sec?
Yeah those are not bead lock wheels 😂
Niisan built an offroad version and raised 5/8 inch ONLY. LOL. good try Nissan MallFinder
Nice review.. too bad they put that big screen with the weird shape...ugly. The exterior is good looking ..interior dash is not.
I don't think it's the worst information screen. It's not very problematic unlike Subarus newer big ass vertical Starlink Infotainment system that's very distracting.
@@jonlosito2004 It's a big flat screen sticking out the top...looks like an afterthought and too big to me. But I do realize it's personal pref on this. Ford and some others doing the same thing , I call it the screen wars. It probably works just fine I just dont like it that big.
It’s a poser . It’s unibody . It’s AWD not 4x4 . It has independent suspension so it’s not really going to go rock crawling or anything near what they are trying to make it look like .
No different than all the other companies...Honda Trail sport and Toyota TRD trims except POSSIBLY the 4Runner.
Lost interest as soon as you said "Direct Injection". Not dealing with that carbon build up nonsense. Ill keep my Volvo ;D
