Everything. All that material stuff. Jobs. It's all pebbles that turn to sand over time. All that matters is the people and what we do with our time.
Speed creates pressure. Just like the gravity of the memories in our mind. Too much mass and it's like a black hole that sucks you in. Creating pressure. When we are inside accessing memories it's hard to take in things from the outside and process them. The higher our internal senses, the higher our external ones too. It keeps us safe in a way. But man do I get angry with the sounds when I'm overloaded.
But I learned why we flex, and why we sing, why we dance, why we like good food, why we like chopping wood, why we like a good fire, why we like soft textures, why embracing clothing feels good, why a massage is nice, even why a romantic relationship is important, and it's all because it brings us into the moment out of that black hole. Love is the infinite force that can heal all wounds. With enough time and space we can look through the layers of time and find the truth within. Sometimes it's just hidden when we don't have eyes to see.
My dad is in the hospital. Turns out my Grandpa also was on the spectrum like my dad and I. They thought my grandpa has Parkinson's because with old age if a person is overloaded with Asperger's like us they will lose almost all ability to focus on external functions like motor skills, speech, processing auditory information, and basically become totally dependent on people to take care of them. It's like the black hole in interstellar. He went in there so I didn't have to. But he's actually doing good now that I told his care team that it's about psychology and his emotional stress effecting his endocrine system. That's why we get all messed up. You know all the things our bodies do under pressure.
I always thought he didn't love me or validate me enough. Like he wasn't a good listener. Turns out having cancer actually is a heck of an emotional burden and when you feel things as strong as we do then it's easy to get overloaded and under pressure. When that happens we can't write very good, our memory isn't all there (Where did I put that thing? What was I doing? Holy F that squirrel is ANNOYING!!!! I can't follow this person they talk to fast!), personally my singing sucks if I'm overloaded, I pace around a bunch, so when I break stuff it's just trying to keep myself shielded from this thing inside that is crazy to confront alone. That's why we need to talk to people and realize who isn't validating us.
My dad though he always loved me and I always loved him. Just like Grandpa loved him too. The problem was that we take on a lot at once and just overload ourselves because we all tried to do it without asking for help enough. We all needed more people to validate us because we wouldn't validate ourselves. But we can empower ourselves through what we do.
Thanks for being a good friend and a stand-up guy. Sky is the limit now! Just listen to your heart. Take time. Think it through.
