These are the steps that worked for me: Delete camera on the app in settings Delete and re download the app Unplug and reset the camera Login to the app Add camera on the top right hand corner Make sure wifi is 2.4g or less, won’t work on 5G Make sure location is “always” or “while using” Follow set up instructions but when the QR code pops up, make sure to enlarge the image. *Even if you hear “connecting to wifi” wait a few more seconds on the QR code*
Mine did too. I removed the camera from the app. Then just unplugged it for 5 minutes. Then I did the reset, but the 1st few times I was pressing the screw, not the tiny hole next to it (frustrated) haha! Once it reset, I selected the camera I have the YI 1080p and listened to the prompts and it works again. Oddly, it stopped connecting all of sudden. But I do move it often. I turn it around when I am home so no spies see me walking nekked LOL!!! Great camera for just $25!! You can listen, and talk plus night vision too.I bought to make sure no one breaks in, and we learned we had mice too. I had it for 5 months and got my moneys worth. Its still working so I am happy.
THANK YOU ITS WORKING! Mine did it too i just simply uninstall and reinstall the app again and allow the permission and it just working like normal, you are a live saver
this is issue is not solved.. im having same issues with it now.. I reboot my modem first, then my ipcam didn't connect... I rebooted my ipcam still doesnt connect
with oreo and pie, you have to turn on location services and give location access to the app. i had to do that to remove that wifi with proper name and connect to the camera.
I’ve done it you just need to plug it into a reliable source of power. I had it plugged in a hub and then I plugged it into an actual hub and it worked
I have more the one camera. One needs to be charged. I charged it as normal but it will not pair. I've reset everything. What a waste of time for something that is built to provide security to your family. If it was not on the correct wifi ghz the other cameras wouldn't work.
Hi guys, I had a same issue. I reset my camera and deleted camera in the app but didn't work. Finally I got through. I reset my internet router. Then add the camera to the app. It works well 🤠. Hope this can help you guys too.

This didn’t work for me. Still the same issue: after scanning QR code successfully, the camera speaker says “Connecting to WiFi” with blue LED. But after a few seconds, it’s back to the yellow LED saying “Welcome to Yi Home Camera. Waiting to connect.” PS this camera worked in the same location and WiFi network for the past 7 months, then started having connection issues.
@@MasterKoala777 I’m having the same problem. I cannot reset everything because I have cameras set up in places that I cannot get to them to rescan. This is very frustrating. There is no customer service phone number to call someone and discuss this. I believe that is the most frustrating part of it. I pay for a yearly subscription for all four cameras, and only have three working.

works for me
then all the cameras go away too
My camera keeps repeating waiting to connect. How do you fix this? They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER to call and speak with a person.
Did you find a fix?
How to fix????
How do you restore the alerts after resetting mine for some reason I can't get the free alerts no more

Can not connect to my WiFi. WiFi error. I know I am putting the right password.
Mines doing the same just brought 2. Think in going to end up sending them back.
@@yoyoyo3531 have you allow the location permission?
@@kyuuraa6264 yeah I managed to get then working after doing that.
Where can i find the tool. Because i did not receive the tool to rest
You can simply use a paper clip
stop hammering ffs
its 2022 all network are 5g the camera are not compatible enough
The app must get permission for the location and the phone must be location enabled

Didn't work
What do you mean remove
< unknown ssid> and what proper wifi name do you mean?
Sorted got them working, by doing what you said, thanks.

Remove any special Character in WIFI Password & WIFI Name. Try 2-3 times after changing Wifi Password & Id.

Make sure its 2.4ghz not 5ghz wifi
How do you set this??? Im having trouble connecting with this issue
How do you check the ghz?
My wifi does not indicate either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. How do I access 2.4?
Help I can't get my yo 360 indoor home camera to connect to the wifi 😡
I had the same issue and finally figured it out. You have to connect to the 2.4GHz internet speed instead of the 5GHz.
How? And how do I know if my wifi is 2 or 5ghz
Please explain how?
Airplane mode on your phone then choose the none 5g network on your internet list 👍🏼
Fixed! Delete your current app. Reset your camera. Create new account. Start pairing all off them again.
This worked for you? Did you have the cloud account linked to the CD cameras?
